Youtube has an over saturated market for gaming content, it very hard to stand out against such large community. Naturally, viewers are exhausted with the derivative content that plagues, so the best approach is to create something nuanced. Video essays have been gained rapid popularity because how easy they are to digest.

If a vid of yours can get a million views obviously somebody likes it

100k-200k is “not insignificant”

The best I've done is 150,000 views.

I only post videos for my friends or gf or gaming achievements like #1 at a leaderboard in some shit, don't care about it growing

It was an accident. It was that hl2 sounds replaced with my voice thing. I would have been happy with my new big audience, but that was the year when I got bored with the "high quality" (at least according to 16 year old me) machinima, deleted most of the videos and created a new channel where I have dozens of unlisted videos that nobody will ever see. It's really just a personal backup of stupid IRL/gaming things with my gf and friends.

I really hate my voice and I cant do it because I don't have the ability to make a deep sounding documentary voice despite trying a ton to do it.

I had a decent dokkan battle channel for about two years, then I stopped because you can only care about a money sink game for so long.

I mean, I hardly get any views. I dont really care though since I just use youtube as an archive for my streams. I stream nightly, so I upload to the channel nightly too.
