I'm planning to play every game in this series, are they all good?

Leave the 3D games for last, if you really, REALLY like the series try playing them.
I don't have too much of an opinion on the classicvanias, but the two GBA games CotM and HoD are notably shit compared to the other metroidvanias. The rest are all good to really good however.
I'm getting really annoyed by the NES game, I didn't think this journey through very much
No. Some of them are quite bad.
Keep going. It will get way, way worse.
Metroidvania wise
SotN is decent, but becomes a little long winded by the end when you sort of have to do the whole game over. Top tier ost
Circle of the Moon is fun
HoD has a really nice OST and is fun
AoS and DoS are top tier
PoR feels really short and easy. It also feels smaller than the previous games even though there’s more variety to the levels.
I always get bored with OoE but other people seem to like it.
It's not really sparking joy. I like the goth aesthetic and music of the series which is why I thought I'd play them all, but I'm just aggravated by 1
Skip to SotN then you little sissy.
Get the mod that lets you control your jumps.
There are two distinct genres within the Castlevania series. Even if you get sick of the classic ones I implore you to try a metroidvania or two.
So far only played CoTM, AoS, OoE and PoR.
My favorites are probably OoE (for the bosses and plot) and PoR. (for the soundtrack and gameplay)
CoTM is somewhat fun with all the hidden passages, but the DSS rng is just annoying and i was disappointed by the lack of true ending. AoS was my first Castlevania game and i did not like it at all, except for a few moments like the Julius fight.
Here's a tip for the NES game that made it much easier for me: don't jump so much. Get used to avoiding hazards by walking, crouching, and whipping. Only jump to dodge when you absolutely have to.
>PoR feels really short and easy. It also feels smaller than the previous games even though there’s more variety to the levels.
Because the castle isn't particularly big and Death's tower is more or less the only complex part of it.
It also doesn't help that the second bunch of pictures is pretty much just the first four with a romhack-tier rearranged level design.
2 is garbage
Treat the games before SOTN and after SOTN as separate franchises. The people who like one, often don't like the other.
You could go straight to IV if you wanted. It’s a retelling of 1 with much less difficulty
But 1 is one of the best user
yes, especially the latest one and rondo
Great series, 1 and 3 are probably the best you'll get out of your NES, Super Castlevania 4 is so incredibly good it's ridiculous, SOTN is one of the best games ever made, Circle of the Moon is really irritating and dull, the other GBA games are OK, DS games are lookers and an upgrade from the GBA era, but still not on par with the '90s era.
Bloodstained is the best Castlevania game after Super Castlevania 4 and SOTN, the story is utter garbage but then again SOTN had like 4 good lines max.
