Spiderman (PS4) is the most cinematic, aesthetically, and fun game to be released this generation.

>World quests aren't repetitive (OY WITCHA U DED, OY COWBOY CAN YA HELB)
>Side quests are generally good (needs to take a page from Arkham's book).
>Fun and fluid combat
>Quest collectibles aren't tedious
>Friendly way to dose you into more and more things to do
>QTEs that don't expect player to be psychic and feel part of the game

There hasn't been a game released this generation.. Hell, the past two generations as well put together as this.

>inb4 pcmads still playing WoW or Nin-babs playing inferior ports

>first word to describe a video game is cinematic

yeah

that's a ps4 game thread alright

It's a game with a great main campaign but painfully dull side content. Shame about it.

Story telling in kino cinematic form is peak video game. What is the alternative, kiddo? Anime characters spouting text bubbles? Side shows between gameplay?

I know cinetmatic is a buzzword these days but with the development of vidya there is no alternative.

>story telling

yeah

that's a PS4 post alright

Kind of agreed hence:
>Side quests are generally good (needs to take a page from Arkham's book).

I know you're the FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD Spiderman, but it needed more impactful side quests like Tombstone's.

Never bothered to do any of the side quests. I just liked collecting the collectibles

The side quests were garbage. Only the main story and the missions associated with it (not the garbage MJ and Miles parts) were good.

The entire Rykers/Raft segment is peak vidya visuals.

Highly enjoyed the game. Screwball missions make me feel like I should receive a full refund.

I don't care how good the game is. I just want Holland to stick around as Spidey. If Disney is at fault, fuck 'em make a better deal. If Sony is at fault, fuck 'em make a better deal. If both are at fault get fucked make a better deal. Tired of reboots.

I got the GOTY edition a couple days ago for $30. It’s fun and looks great, but a lot of the missions do feel copy and pasted and have gotten fairly repetitive already but not overwhelmingly so. Still, feel like I could’ve held off til Black Friday or sometime in the next year when the goty goes on sale for under $20

>cinematic
>fun game
Pick one, snoygoy

As a comic fan this game IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE
As a gaming fan , its really great but sadly it felt short and the city ended with the overall open world progress other games have

Fpbp

I did pick one - Spider-Man (PS4)

Yakuza fits that bill while being more engaging with its combat, fuck off capeshitter.

Yakuza are shovelware movie games. Spider-Man, at the very least, is a game.

It was the first PS4 game I played and it was a banger

>World quests aren't repetitive (OY WITCHA U DED, OY COWBOY CAN YA HELB)
Are you referring to things like the challenges and whatnot? They are very repetitive.
>Side quests are generally good (needs to take a page from Arkham's book).
At least you agree that it needs to improve, but you're giving it to much credit. Side quests were few and generally the same thing. Talk to guy, go to place, beat up group of baddies.
>Fun and fluid combat
It's fine. I was definitely getting tired of it by the end of the game. It doesn't have the weight that Batman does and that hurts it.
>Quest collectibles aren't tedious
They aren't tedious because you aren't forced to do them, assuming you're talking about the artifact collecting.
>Friendly way to dose you into more and more things to do
Not really. I 100%'d the game and I felt like I was essentially pulling up my map after every side thing to do because progression of them never felt organic and if they did, it was few.
>QTEs that don't expect player to be psychic and feel part of the game
This is just stupid and I don't really understand how this is a selling point.

I don't like spider-man

Exactly my thoughts, it's a very good game, but the side content was pretty boring and repetitive without much substance.
>go from A to B as fast as you can
>collect the pidgeons
>collect X items
>talk to X and beat up Y enemies
>fucking Screwball
It definitely needed better side quests with more story and better enemies, Taskmaster could have been better than:
>complete N challenges and face the boss
Also fuck MJ and Miles' missions

>Shit plots
>Lame cutscenes
>Filler quests
>Horrendous combat

I mean, yes, if you've never played a triple A title. Yes. Yakuza are acceptable.

I liked it better than I thought I would. Actually I was pretty harsh on it prior to release and called it an arkham clone. Combat-wise, it's actually better (although I think fighting as other-but-similar characters like Black Cat and Scorpion would have been nice). Swinging is fun but a little too simple. Campaign would have been a lot better without the MJ/Miles segments.

>Horrendous combat
Brainlet spotted. Yakuza has some of the best combat in vidya.

>little too simple.
While I agree it's simple - it's still more than past Spidey games. Personally, I don't want to make it anymore complex beyond compexity for benefit - which kind of already exists beyond the tips (low cutting webs for speed, etc.)

Slinging shouldn't be tedious.

Looks like shit

Fuck me, unlocking taskmaster to play as would have been cool too.

I miss the 2002 Spider-Man game where not only did you unlock Green Goblin, but he came equipped with his glider and unique movesets as well.

>cinematic
>fun

Retard.

>autolock cartwheel
>autolock cartwheel
>autolock cartwheel
>cinematic move

nice.

Fpbp

I seriously ended up hating MJ and dreaded her segments so much. Miles was ok since I enjoyed his story arch with his father.

Git gud.

Zero is fucking fantastic but i will choose Spidey over it.

Still pic related alone make Zero a top tier Yakuza

>git gud
>press triangle for a cinematic move
>good combat

are you fucking shitting me? its one of the most repetative, derivative games released this gen

6.5/10 bait

Spider Man combat is way better than Yakuza combat

finished just a few days ago.
the game it's fine but it's overhyped.
story is good(not great because the ock shit is in the sidelines for almost all the game) , but combat is very very shallow. Okay, a platinum deepness its not to be expected, but this Arkham 'one button cancer' has to stop. Also because of the Arkham crap you barely fight like Spiderman, what's the deal with all the gadgets?

I just don't even use gadgets, they are all so OP. Most of the suit mods and many of the suit abilities are OP too. Focus is also overpowered, you have to purposefully expend it on needless takedowns to make the game hard

Start the first word of every sentence with a capital letter.

>not using webs once
Absolute fucking pleb. That entire fight could have been over in seconds

>Spiderman (PS4) is the most cinematic, aesthetically, and fun game to be released this generation.

Implying thats a bad thing. What a fucking window licker you are

>write a pretty nice post
>could lead to some fun Spiderman discussion
>end it with garbage consolewarring
You're the reason why everyone laughs at Sonyfags. You underage retards can't go a single post without insulting everyone else

>All aircraft, form up on Trigger! Nice and tight!
AC7 is pure kino

Tombstone's sidequest was good, Taskmaster's had too many missions but at least the fight made up for it, everything else was cancer.

I think AC7 is the perfect "cinematic" game because its set pieces still allow the player great control always. Just the chatter over comms and soundtrack amplifies everything you do in that game tenfold.

>best combat
>posts 0 with button mashing memejima moveset
go and enjoy your turn-based yakuza, retard

Nah It's an okay 7/10 game at best. Most certainly not the best game of this or any generation. There have been plenty of better games this gen
T. PS4 and spiderman (ps4) owner

What are you talking about? The game is repetitive as fuck if you do anything not tied to the main story? I wanted to neck myself trying to get 100% for the costumes because it just wasn't fun. And then to make it worse there was even more of the same shit in the DLC. IIRC the only interesting side content was the shit with Tombstone.

>Implying it's not a bad thing.

Go back to netflix dimwit.
