Three things that fucking suck, what's there to actually do? Not to much the world is empty as fuck explore. Minecraft and Terraria is better than this, at least there's exploration that isn't shit.

Nah, it was the linearity first and foremost. The Tumblr-tier story didn't help much either. Bossfights were the only good part of the game, and it pales in comparison to most other good Metroidvanias in even that regard. Seriously, everything from Hollow Knight to Rabi Ribi to Guacamelee to Super Metroid have better boss fights.

These are some of the worst characters I have seen in my life. None of them are relevant to this story but Elma, Lin, and Lao. None of them get a single piece of development in their side quests with characters like, none of them are even good in combat, they are worthless to take around. If they're not pulling their weight, you've equipped them poorly. Irina with the Ramjet Rifle could be your party's TP battery as long as she's alive, allowing you to constantly spam your super powerful TP attacks. She, alone, makes non longsword builds viable since you can build up an assload of TP with Irina and transfer it to your less-TP-friendly character.

It really does seem like Ga Jiarg was intended to join the party. And Ga Buidhe, too. They use the only weapons with only 2 users (Alexa and Ga Buidhe are the only 2 Javelin users after Lao disappears, Doug, Yelv, and Ga Jiarg are the only Beam Saber users), both have an affinity mission, you can get their armors as cosmetics, just like L and Celica, the other 2 ayy lmao party members, and they're important to the story.

It seems more like they didn't have enough time to fully develop Ga Jiarg or Ga Buidhe as characters. Slovity Pagus also seemed like she would join up. However, they probably ran out of time to make affinity missions and character development for them. I'm convinced that if we got an X remake or port or director's cut or something that those 3 would become playable.

Using Irina you can cut down the grinding by a ton, since her TP battery playstyle can take the pressure off of Shield/Beam Saber users who suck at gathering TP and maintaining damage. Thus, making full use of Irina will cute 20 hours of grinding out since you won't need to as heavily spec into powerful augments.

No it takes zero grind to solo a superboss unless you mean playing throughout each shitty chapter to get them is grinding. Cross breaks the game right from the start. And no this game has zero balance, Ghostwalker, blossom dance, reflect augment, astral projection, core crusher, combat limbo with invincibility buffs, overdrive being a fucking flow chart, etc. Seriously did anyone playtest this game

You still need to grind for optimal gear unless you're running the meme sets designed to be crutches for new players. Of course a game is going to have good strategies, that's not a bad thing. Every class has some really broken art. That's called balance.

As someone who experienced the game with Yea Forums, I can't count all the times that someone died to fucking Ga Jiarg. This game pleb filters like 60% of players by chapter 10.

Never said there was Wi-Fi battles. Base game pokemon is not worth discussing so that's a moot. With an evasion skell sure. With those skils you listed you'll need to grind gear/augs to even hit them and AP/Reflect won't prevent Nardacyon spike from killing you.

I bought this game on launch, but I still don't have Wii U. The game is still unopened. I played it a little (some 50 hours) on emulator, but then my HDD went to hell. Fuck my life.

I would buy Wii U ages ago, but it's so fucking expensive here. And I guess I'm still hoping for a Switch port.

I liked most things about Xenoblade X EXCEPT the gameplay. I liked the huge world, writing, story, and the graphical style of it; but the battles themselves I could not get any pleasure from. I stuck it out until I got a Skell, but when that failed to really change things I couldn't make myself continue.
I'm not saying it's bad, just that I couldn't get into it. I started to avoid battles with random creatures since they bored me, but because I wasn't fighting anything in my path my party wasn't leveling up so I was underpowered for plot enemies.
If the game was the same except the combat was an action game instead of what it is, it would have been my perfect game. I just have to keep waiting and hoping someone might make something like that.
