This thread will be culled in like a minute or so but the gist is that most of Yea Forums either is nostalgic for 2008-2010 Phil who would get wasted by himself, call things "gay" and rage at games while recording himself with a crappy video camera. Modern Phil is utterly boring---he just begs/shills on loop and makes some really contrived "EMERGENNCCY" videos at a routine clip to milk his dwindling fanbase dry. He rarely drinks and now that he's pussy whipped at home by his new wife---won't even play games with dating/womanizing in them (Fire Emblem, skipping whole swaths of Judgement).

The only two things I can commend DSP on are:
1) He's durable and persistent in his content creation career. Most people would have cut bait and ran numerous times but he weathers the storm and continues.
2) Unlike other "lolcows", Phil has actually done a decent job in resisting troll bait in the last few years. Sure, he'll go off on "some idiot" in the chat every now-and-again but he mostly just does a lean in manual ban and continues his boring ass playthroughs.

I can't really explain why, but I watch both dsp and new detractor videos as they come up. I think it's just loneliness and they make me feel better.

I never really liked his content but man is DSP such a glorious example of a YouTuber who just refuses to throw in the towel. He outlived and outlasted so many of his peers, cruised through poverty, poorness and bankruptcy miraculously, evaded controversy after controversy, survive getting swatted and to this day is still producing content.

DSP has been especially dull the last few years but this year has been especially bad. He's gotten so stale and boring and the commentary for all his gameplay has become "lala lalala" or random goat laughs.
