They suck up a third of every sale and don't invest any of it into actually improving their store or making games. It all goes straight into Gabe's fat greedy pockets. Valve fanboys are literally one of the most pathetic fanbases on this entire board, only rivaled by Smash Bros and BOTW fans.

Warframe is better than Destiny in every regard except endgame and lore, and that's because Warframe basically has no endgame except farming mods to trade for plat to trade for cosmetics. PVP is personal preference, but I think Destiny works better even if it isnt perfect.

It's basically Halo in terms of pace and shooting mechanics. Kinda slow, floaty jumps, enemy AI is fairly varied but still mostly dumb, stuff dies relatively fast enough as you're going through the game, but the endgame can get bullet spongey unless you have gear of the appropriate level. After you hit max level, you're going to be grinding for incrementally better guns and armor to further level up (which is necessary if you want to take on the higher endgame missions and raids).
The open world is a cakewalk, some events and instanced missions are a little more interesting.

It's okay if you're looking for a coop shooting gallery, but as an FPS, it's nothing special, just competent. I got pretty bored of it once I made it to the endgame gear grind, however, I didn't have any of the expansions which is basically the paywall to take the game from "trial" (since I got the base game for free) to a smoother progression pace.

warframe's balance and encounter design is awful, the fun of being a mobile space ninja (which the game rarely makes use of aside from getting from place to place faster because the encounter design sucks) and the hellish grind (if you're mad enough to play a game for the grind) are the only reason to play it

Casualization and control over publishing and marketing. Things like cross play, exclusives, mmo aspects, and atmosphere were under Activision umbrella. So instead of having D1 stat rolls everything had flat numbers to bring in crowds that are afraid of mmos. The atmosphere was toned down to get kids into it to spend money. And Activision loved sony.

Based on what Bungie has been saying for the past half year as they are working up to their Steam release, they are putting in a lot of extra shit that Activision deliberately wanted simplified when it comes to customization and gear stats, while also gutting a bunch of the microtransaction bullshit.

They gave the game out for free a while ago, never bothered playing it because that download size is ridiculous. Won't bother when it comes to steam either.

I hear they turned it around, but the core gameplay at launch was terrible. They took everything that made the first one good and missed the mark. And opinions are divided on whether the first was shit to begin with. Basically it was a Diablo game where the loot was far too easy to obtain, had very boring differences between endgame loot, too many cosmetics were locked behind paid loot boxes, and pvp was gutted for the sake of an esports crowd that never came.

I got this game for free on PS4 and then for free again on PC, and I forgot I had the latter until now.

Max party size for most pve activities is 3, so 2 will work just fine.

The grind for Warframe is unacceptable. Shills keep saying it's "fair" and "so reasonable" but any free to play game is inherently a worse deal than a standard retail price. Warframe artificially inflates the grind to hellacious levels to encourage you to just buy everything. Great art design and okay writing are not enough to save it.

Destiny 2 is pretty shit too but I had more fun and didn't feel like basic gear was locked behind grind.
