Is this game good? I've wanted it for a while, but can't tell if it's actually fun or just an elaborate troll meant to enrage the player. Or both.

It was fun to play with Yea Forums on release.
I Learned a lot about how cars work but never touched it after i got the car running properly.
Did you win the rally? I'm not sure what would be left to do after that.
Is it worth $15, that's the real question
Easily.
Sold
The new DLC is scary.
I miss my summer car general, it was so comfy and one of the only good generals. I haven't played in a while, did they ever improve the performance?
GAME?
first person driving always makes me cum hard
Do you cum every time you drive? Sounds nice
I live in third person
It's great. Just enough autism in the engine building and tuning, just enough difficulty but at the same time you can just get drunk and fuck around
beware
>Is this game good?
one of the best games I've played in years, fucking outstanding world building and replay-ability and comfy levels never thought possible
I like this picture a lot
it's janky as fuck and will make you angry. but it also has a lot of heart put into it and if you want to build and maintain a car it's the best game out there. there's also few vidya moments that are as satisfying as when you first get the car running until it breaks down on the road and you forgot your toolbox and have to walk all the way back to get it
youtube.com
Beware.
Give it a look, it's really promising, also check out the dude's films, they are pretty cool - he just uploaded MDRCHAIN to youtube in HD.
Forgot to say the sound track is top notch too

Cheers lad, made it myself
and then the asshole in the green car runs you over just as you get back to your car
I saved it under the name "my summer fren"
How good of a PC do I need for this? The recommended specs are pretty high.
A lot of people seem to complain about framerate in it, think it's quite heavy on processor cos the car has a lot of physics objects in it because its literally bolted together and can all fling apart in a crash
kek
I don't remember what happened exactly but here's a pic of my car broken down on the side of the road, when I opened the hood some shit looked wrong.. I look down the road and one entire piston is sitting there all bent to fuck.
I'd have a hard time getting back into it, but it was fun while I played, and I learned some shit too.
suppose I know literally nothing about how engines work, how much time will I have to spend watching youtube to learn how to put things together?
An hour or couple will teach you everything you need to know about how the engine works. There will still be some trial and error because there's loads of small parts.
I didn't know how to put an engine together, I just did it by trial and error and it was a lot of fun
sounds legit.
one of the recent patches added some hoops you have to jump through to get the van and the truck, so it's probably a pain in the ass to get started now
should be fine, still got the boat, just maybe moves the focus more on building the car at the start rather than exploring the map
>look up performance for my specs
>40fps
I can barely run it at 15/20 FPS and updates keep making it even worse. Are there any ways to get the performance up? Unity games always run like ass.
They added a rack to the moped that can carry one item so you can use it get to the shop etc.
You can also go get the Rusco instantly from the start if you want a car
I've got an amd ryzen 5 3600 and an nvidia 2070 super, hopefully that'll be enough. It seems to be really badly optimized from what I read.
they removed pissing while driving which was the funniest mechanic.
>punch your windshield out & piss through it at highway speed while chugging beer to keep the stream going
also if it's been a really long time for you, wiring the electrics is gonna be new, and parts have wear on them now. you start the game with a nearly-dead battery and basically have to go buy a new one.
there's a lot of other shit to catch up with in the patch notes. i'm glad they kept this in development instead of pushing an incomplete garbage fire as final.
the game has no DRM at all. if you want a copy to just try out for a while i can just mega you a link (ask me and i'll do it), but if you want updates then fork over the fifteen burgers.
Appreciate it but I'll just throw him the burger bucks, I think he's earned it.
It's probably one of the best games on Steam.
If you can't get immersed in Finland simulation, you don't have a soul.
The only mandatory mod improvement to the game is a fleshed out 90s soundtrack to play on the radio. Preferably in Finnish.
Have a specific one in mind?
Post car skins and wall posters.
It's a immersive sim about owning a classic car that isn't a collector's item. It's meant to be frustrating and cruel because it makes the good bits fucking magical. Realism, not masturbation fantasy.
One of the most fun "indie" games I ever played.
Keep in mind this was when Yea Forums was talking about it way back when it first released. It took me literally 5 hours to finish building the fucking engine that when I tried starting it up, I realized I had no oil or gas.
It was seriously a labor of love. It was a piece of shit, but it was *my* piece of shit. Got it to pass inspection and rode around feeling like an absolute chad and did the Rally. That was as far as I ever got when I played it (that was basically all there was to do at the time)
Apparently the dev is god tier and has been updating the game regularly, so I think I need to do a new playthrough.
Beware the green demon.
[muffled eurobeat quietly playing in the distance]
[muffled eurobeat grows louder]
Does the pedovan still wobble at high speeds? I remember flipping the damn thing any time it went over 80
>It was a piece of shit, but it was *my* piece of shit.
I swear I've seen this post in one of the threads way back when. If so, I have quoted you for the last couple of years, thank you user.
I think that got patched out
>eurobeat
Where's the mega?
this
What mega? Buy the fucking game
Suck my fucking nuts
>I PIRATE BECAUSE THE INDUSTRY IS SHIT AND I'M VOTING WITH MY WALLET
>ALSO WHERE'S THE MEGA FOR THIS UNANIMOUSLY PRAISED VIDEO GAME?
cope
But I want to see how bad it runs on my PC before buying it
>I concede
Thank you for keeping it brief.
i downloaded a music pack for it that adds a bunch of extra finnish music from the 90s.
It's also fun being able to edit the flag in the garage and the posters in the house.
Will looking at a wiki to put the engine together ruin my experience? I know absolutely nothing about cars.
What? Have you seen this games' graphics? This thing runs on fucking anything, dude.
Well, I think most people do end up doing that if they don't know much about engines, but my advice is to at least give it a trial-and-error whirl first to see what progress you can make. You'll be surprised at what you'll learn.
I turned 12
Dad burned the wooden locomotive
It was cremated in the sauna stove
No time for tears
Dad said, take it like a man
And although the roots do not reach the bottom
They get stuck in this frozen ground
And no one else guides me
I'll hit my head on the grey rock by myself
Brother came back from the army
The stripes of a lance corporal as a souvenir
It was a too easy way out
No non-com cross for him
Dad showed his
Mother can't always take it
Sometimes she's silent for weeks
The doctors just say:
"She's doing it on purpose"
Aunt took her to the hospital
And although the roots do not reach the bottom
They get stuck in this frozen ground
And no one else guides me
I'll hit my head on the grey rock by myself
Well if you consider 20FPS running, yeah
20fps is what it runs at on my laptop that literally cannot handle anything but fucking stardew valley and sonic mania
you'll be fine.
wtf are you playing on, a literal toaster?
Not him, but doesn't it need a decent CPU? A bit worried my poor i5 4670 won't be able to handle it.
No I have a R5 1600 and a GTX 1060 but the recommended specs are higher than that.
Just buy it on Steam and if it runs like shit, refund
It's a common sentiment about absolutely destroyed shitboxes. It drove me to spend ~4000 dollars replacing shit on my 1500 dollar craigslistmobile
>tfw I bought a g29 specifically for this
It appears that this game has, dare I say it, s o u l
This game taught me more about finnish swearing than building a car.
dont pay for it
no
>easily
fucking how?
It seems like a game version of building an intricate model. Could be fun if you're into that.
Couldn't figure out how to build the engine?
