It's dead now so it doesn't matter, but for what it's worth it wasn't necessarily pay to win. You could pay for characters and items but it didn't automatically make you good. It's just that a lot of people who dumped money into the game were also the kind of hardcore autists who had spreadsheets open while playing.

Could never get this game to work on my PSP Go no matter how hard I tried. Every single patch, every single attempt to bypass the disk check with a hex editor just wouldn't fucking work.

I played the fuck out of Pangya MMO. Golf is a comfy game that's perfect for video games. Also it was a cute and funny game at the time that I enjoyed before knowing the name for that.
If I remember right, it's been deactivated in all regions, effectively making it impossible to play. Today we have Everybody's Golf as the closest thing to it, and luckily you can play that in VR even(PSVR exclusive).
As with every Korean game, it had an amazing OST.

It's certainly lacking in cute anime girls and lolis, miraculous shots and 10/10 music but the core is the same.

Courses aren't as much fun either. Once you get used to golfing on magical mountain tops, snowy places, and on aircraft carriers you just find it hard to do it anywhere else. Its not bad by any means but it just didn't pull me in like Pangya did.

There are two ways to play Pangya now.
There's Pangya Mobile, which you need to get an android apk and install. It is from Thailand but has a full english option for the menus and story mode.
There's also Pangya Celebrity, a fan server that resurrected the PC game.
