Yeah

Right is unironically better

how? the gameplay is way slower and they cut at least 30% of content from the game
I liked it but there is no way it's better

Kind of. The inclusion of Nefarious was awful.

He looks like shit in this one hopefully they change him back to the original design

Why don't you write in your own words what you think about both games instead of using some buzzwords.

the remake makes me so sad
the series should have just stopped already

legit everything about the original one oozes soul compared to the remake. just the first impressions
>the cover
look at left, its got this warm gradient with almost a 2d effect. it almost looks like a wallpaper. it shows what the game is about - the guns and the duo
on the right you have a capeshit inspired - lets put everybody on here - style cover art. it doesnt show anything about the game
>the opening menu
in the original you see ratchet repairing his ship, in a lonely warehouse, with bittersweet ambient music playing in the bg
in the remake you get a shitty space inspired "press start" with a indistinct theme
>first mission
in the original you are ratchet, seemingly alone on the whole planet, just wanting to explore and get ritches. as a person from a small town i really feel that sense of going into the world and becoming somebody
in the remake the first mission is some over complex tutorial with a thousand people watching you, not giving any impression of being alone, rather making it seem you live in some metropolis.

I'd think so. Scenes from the movie shoved into the game, leading to jarring pacing. Very boring animation during cutscenes, with Ratchet and Clank barely acknowledging each other, Ratchet turned into a harmless nerd to sell plushies. It's a real shame due to how well done the duo's relationship and Ratchet's arc was done in the original.

I'm still scratching my head about Metropolis being renamed to Aleero City for some reason.
I think the reimagining's problem is that in the end it's a movie game (as in, a game made from a movie IP, like those Van Helsing games), with the quality they tend to have.

Why is right doing the meme face?

I wish we could back to the early 2000s animation aesthetics

Come on now, I didn't mention graphics even once. Though if we do I should mention the blue suit is fucking awful. What were they thinking?

At least the first game wasn't 30 fps and didn't have motion blur.

Not nearly as bad as the incredibly overbearing motion blur as well as all the other postprocess effects.

the gameplay in the remake is so bad I hate it

>overbearing motion blur
I hadn't gotten so many headaches since I played Shadow of the Colossus on PS3, bloody hell.

Ratchet and Clank 2016 is not a remake of the 2002 one and both have soul, but obviously 2002 has more soul

Yeah, the only thing improved in the remake
>godly graphics
>it feels a lot better to move around and play
>better weapons
>James Arnold Taylor voicing ratchet
Everything else is bad, it's a bastardization of the story and levels and i'm honestly not even the biggest fan of the first game but i'd take it over the remake.

If they ever do going commando I really fucking hope they do a more direct remake instead of redoing a lot of the plot and dialogue like this one and they can get away with it too considering the game is mostly disconnected from the first other than qwark

>>it feels a lot better to move around and play
>>better weapons
fuck no the original game is way better in both of those manners. it's actually painful to hear anyone say that
in the new game if an enemy gets close you just have to tank a hit, in the original you can pull off some acrobatics to get out of the way. in the remake they just move too fast and have hitboxes that are too large. it's way more interesting to actually be able to rely on your movement than only being able to rely on your gun - this is supposed to be a platformer too.
and literally every gun in the remake feels the same. they're all equally viable on every single enemy. in the original game if you try to use close range weapons on the elite blarg or the mutated creatuers on orxon you'll get absolutely rekt. Same if you use long range weapons on any kind of swarmer. in this game who gives a fuck you can use any weapon on any enemy which just means there's no point in ever switching it up apart from just to evenly distribute xp (which is itself vastly inferior to exploring levels and spending gold bolts to upgrade weapons)

GOD I hate the remake. I can deal with the shitty writing, the shitty graphics, the shitty music, but the gameplay is the absolute worse. Everything that made the game more than a light show for preschoolers has been sanded down and erased. there is zero thought in any of the gameplay, and zero skill.
