For some reason, EZA as a group just doesn't believe in doing test streams before they go live, even when they make big changes to the set up for a stream. They just get shit turned on and go live, then sort out the technical problems live. If they were competent, they'd be setting shit up and testing the stream 20-30 minutes before going live, but they just won't do it.

Why are they so timid about spoilers in their literal spoiler podcast? I never understood this. At the beginning Damiani's like "Okay, so you guys had a BIG DECISION to make on your playthrough. I'm really curious what BIG DECISION you CHOSE!" And they'll frequently dance around details related to endings or big moments, but the whole fucking POINT of these is to be a completely open and free discussion designed for people who have already played through a certain game or watched a certain movie. So why the fuck are they so unwilling to drop spoilers and talk details about things? It really sucks for me because I usually watch these for things I know I'm not going to personally play, and their dancing around and dropping hints and refusing to specify and contextualize what they're talking about ruins the experience because I don't understand what they're talking about. They should just come out and fucking say what they're talking about instead of being so cagey.

No one is actually voting based on the presentations, they're voting based on their preconceived biases. Everyone just has a handful of games they'll automatically vote in if given the chance, and that ruins the whole point of deliberating and making a case for your game.

To be truly honest here, its not just bosman who feels like he can just "do what he wants' phase 4 is all about them just tossing out everything they did they don't feel like doing anymore to do stuff they wanna do. youtube for years has had panels during the days after the conferences featuring youtubers for some reason. This one happened in 2015-16 I think. It is pointless to have those panels but it did lead to Rocco Botte deciding to completely fuck with everyone and play Homeless Guy Eats Crap twice in front of a live audience and 40,000 people online
