Basically a normal dude who was trained by the boss, his mother who he eventually needed to kill cause she defected to the Soviet Union
Solid snake= guy on the left
A clone of big boss that was meant to kill him succeeded (he killed venom snake not the big boss big boss)
Venom snake =guy on the right, a normal medic that through hypnosis and training become a doppelganger of big boss and was used by big boss to escape solid snake .
Other two clones are solidus and liquid snake two bad guys

Hes the only character that grows and learns from his and others' mistakes. He's the only one that questions orders. He also has a hot ass girlfriend. He's the only one with complex emotions that drive him beyond muh duty or muh independence. Improves the most in the shortest time, meaning he has the highest potential.
