The select titles part was meant more for modding, though I never really emulated much so I can't really comment on how problematic it is. For what it's worth when it comes to the games I emulated the only problems I had was some vertical bar in the middle of the screen in Dynasty Warriors Empires 5 in PCSX2, audio slowdows during attacks in P3P in PPSSPP and, until recent dev build on PCSX2, inability to play Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction at all (works like a charm now in hardware mode though).

Horrible idea. Don't spend more than you would on a console; about 600 bucks. It'll do just fine. PCmasterracers are absolute retards who think games need to be 4k or above and always running at 240fps when all you need is 1080p running over 30 for most games. Some games are perfectly playable at 15, just need to enable frame skip.

Because of similar issues I gave up with emulation, minor issues just add up and make it not that enjoyable. Biggest problem i had when jumping between games which varied in engine and had to play around a lot with settings. It's just easier for me to play on og hardware, sometimes it's just not worth the time or autism power.

Well, for the 3 games I had problems with there were like 10 that ran perfectly fine. It all comes down to luck and whether the game you want to play emulates well or not (which console you're emulating also plays a huge part, PCSX2 is much more problematic than other mature emulators).

I had a list of like 40 games to emulate and only Ratchet gladiators game me major problems, the rest is up to how much of a faggot zoomer you are, literally just swap between hardware and software, between 2 and 4 in Core GS Preset slider if it's running slow and check if you have minmapping, frame buffer/data and aligned sprites, literally less than 5 minutes to do all the above.
