I'm only here for that peak anime aesthetic art.
faggot

Honestly I don't care myself, if the story is good and entertaining then I usually get deeply invested in it, to see how things are going to end. That's just how I feel.

Based slayers

Lina a incel, Naga a best.

Attached: 1558074571800.jpg (570x581, 94K)

what was the point of that artstyle? I mean, everything looks realistic but the face.

The Slayers OVA ED is based. Prove me wrong.

youtube.com/watch?v=s_r8-LgZldE

>everything looks realistic but the face.
look again

PS2 Berserk I guess

Answer my question please, also Naga a shit

it has nice proportions. It doesn't have "american" proportions but it looks pretty realistic.

you've gotta be shitting me
do you live in anorexia land or some shit
is your family composed of skeltals

Not him but just stop eating lmao.

I guess it's subjective but I thought dark souls had good gameplay and story. All of them.

Everything in the Slayers OVAs are based. Instead of saving the world from ancient evils, it's just running around fucking shit up and having fun.

>Not him
sure you're his mysterious next door neighbor instead

looks like food lives in your head rent free

and dies in my belly

I wanna suck Linas feet so fucking bad

No one here as ever even seen the Slayers OVAs.

most SRPGs

Just do do a set thrice a week

Where did you get this picture of my wife?

SMT Strange Journey is up there for one of the more challenging JRPGs I think if you are actually trying to do it yourself not use guides. Actually a lot of the older SMT games had some challenge. There was at least one Fire Emblem on the SNES that I can't remember exactly that was also hard.

Phantasy Star, the original 2, also needed some effort. Alundra comes to mind too, though that is an ARPG dunno if you count that. Same with games like Odin Sphere, there is leveling and skill progression and such but focus is on the action side.

I've heard people describe a few of the SaGa games as hard, but it was kind of bullshit "hard" where it came down to doing everything perfectly and abusing everything and even in one case RNG.

Also good taste in anime.
I cannot.

>amerifats
lmao

Also
samefag here, obviously that's jap stuff. If we expand into western RPGs there are plenty of old hard ones, Wizardry say.

It seems to be less common nowadays though, perhaps just because there is now so much vidya that the old pattern of "buy one game, want to get 100+ hours out of it because that's all you get for a while" is long dead which has changed incentives.

Lina's feet smell like cheese

>anorexia
Lina in no ways looks anorexic or skeletons at all though dude. Her arms look about normal thickness for someone who is outdoors and more built for endurance and light combat fallback to her magic rather then frontline heavy magic.

Based. I know I still have my original box sets of slayers/next/try but I'll admit I never got more beyond that. And the latest ones somehow didn't have the same magic for me as the old even after rewatching.

I don’t hate revolution and evolution r as much as most but yea it’s not as good as the OG.

>there exists another user who got RahXephon too
Superb. What's the RahXephon of video games anyway

Arcanum, maybe Fallout 1

bumbing for answer

I have one that has a brutal combat system, but story is pretty non existent. Will that work?

but there have been answers user

god I want lina to sit on my face

Underrail

motherfucking dark messiah of might and magic
close this thread now

What do you mean by "brutal gameplay"?
How good do you need for a good story?

Go play some of the original Wizardry series without a walkthrough. There isn't really anything "hard" about selecting attacks from a menu. Difficulty in RPGs came down to figuring out where to go and figuring out how to get out of mazes, or solve puzzles. When everything got streamlined to ensure that everybody could complete the games, it meant removing all the difficult bits because those might cause people to be unable to complete it.

who the fuck plays rpgs for the challenge

jesus 90s anime was so soulless

Reminder that Lina is in IMAGINE tier at 147cm tall.

Fuck off zoomer. You are a right little shit.

Attached: Hemiko.jpg (500x654, 66K)

And that is why Naga is the superior woman, not a girl

>inventory management
>party member management
>risk management in rng-based games
>can easily handicap yourself by staying at low-level
>in turn-based game insufficient lvl makes the game very brutal

Morrowind can be difficult if you don’t play a mage or a redguard sword autismo

>90's artstyle

Garbage.

Literal shit taste here.

Etrian Oddessy

I grew up in the 90's. And yeah, most of it was shit.

>good story
oh nononon

>brutal gameplay
OH NONONONO

>slayers
based
play Strange Journey

Prove it faggot.

The 90s had a solid artstyle in fact.

SoulTaker was such a terrible shitshow, never thought I'm gonna see it again.
But the opening was great.
youtube.com/watch?v=Abl6F_2GyQk

Resonance of Fate and The Last Remnant are both harder than average. "Good story" could go either way.

video games aren't hard by definition, user
only retards and 10yos find video games hard.

Define "hard" because I have a feeling you'll whine about muh damage sponges and muh rng as soon as someone recommends anything.

Attached: 1560363697854.gif (320x240, 1.91M)

I agree on both parts but it’s spin-off was tops.

Naga a shitty titty monster.

Virgin Island's last boss is brutal if you don't prostitute yourself

Yakuza 7

holy shit fat fuck
she looks like a real person
normal person
not a landwhale

Good taste.
Komugi was the reason I didn't regret watching SoulTaker. One of my favorite comedy series.

t. skeltal

Holy shit I think this is the first time I've seen mention of 7th Saga in 10 years on this site. What a brutal fucking game, even with grinding for hours with the turbo held down I never got close to how miraculously far I managed to get as a kid.

Not up there with any old school rpg but this game's boss fights were balls to the wall hard. Not only did you need to follow a guide because "SURPRISE BOSS FIGHT" and needed to prepare for the amount of bullshit that you're about to endure but also even with a guide this game knew how to handle your ass.

Attached: 1536810881786.jpg (2100x1822, 1.87M)

Too bad OP is a faggot and probably won't even try it for fear of getting his boi pussei cored out straight to the back of his teeth by this game.

>still spamming this image
ok

maybe you shouldn't level up your characters as much.

Wizardry IV

>Slayers and paniponi in the same thread
Things like this is why I still come here

Attached: 1555413952157.png (1600x1200, 270K)

It’s one of the last shows I enjoyed before falling out with anime.

(you)

Now this is some absurdly pleb mainstream taste

Should I watch Slayers on Netflix?

Then let's add some Excel Saga to it.
