Cyberpunk is a full fledged RPG

Yea Forums was wrong AGAIN. You guys have 0 knowledge about videogames, apparently.

Attached: CyberPunk_CharacterPerks.png (1280x723, 718K)

that does not look "fully fledged" to me

Mass Effect had abilities too but it was more like an action game. I expect cyberpunk to be the same

When will you people learn that the mainstream doesn't want to play RPGs, and AAA developers would never in their right minds try to make one

Literally a dumbed down zoomer tree. Fuck off shill.

>Skill tree

Oh look it's another one of those systems that gives you the illusion of becoming a better player rather than actually becoming better at the game.

the shitcher has stats too, yet you can finish the game with the starting gear. Actually you will because the rest is ugly.

>the rest is ugly
wrong

>5 abilities
>12 skills
Fallout 3 had more.

>level up skills
>enemies level up with you
>nothing ever changes
>the tacked on rpg mechanics are pointless
Why do all western shit devs do this now?

You are not calculating implants brainlet

Nobody said it wouldn't have SOME rpg elements
We said they would be very light and this appears to have proven us right.

Yes I am. Learn what the implants are brainlet.

how you be lookin rn

Attached: clown-face-apple.png (160x160, 34K)

>level up skills
>stronger than every enemy
>game is a cakewalk now

Why do eastern devs do this?

every game nowadays has rpg elements because they feed right into your reward system whats your point?

Level scaling wasn't in the TW3 at launch and was only added via patch a year later. So it's safe to assume that CP2077 won't have level scaling either

Nice no argument. The game has 5 ability stats which affect 12 skills total. That's it. Literally less than Bethesda Fallout.

MORE THINGS ITS BETTER

>retarded strawman
fuck off

Just like how they told me it was safe to assume they were making a cyberpunk game huh?

>lock basic gameplay abilities behind "skills"
>more points only increases numbers
>full fledged rpg

lol ok

>game has full fledged rpg elements
>no it doesn't it barely has any
>MORE DOESN'T MEAN BETTER

twitter meme

>Clothes
>Weapons
>Stats
>Attributes
>Perks
>Weapon Proficiency
>Cybernetics
>This is somehow "not enough"
I get the feeling some of you would never like this game regardless of what they do. Unless of course most people start hating it, in which case I'm sure Yea Forums would love it.

Attached: cool dog.jpg (540x564, 58K)

CP 2077 skills: 12
Skyrim skills: 18

AC: Odyssey had all that shit and it was purely superficial garbage, like the game.

You forgot:
>multiple story paths for every quest
>multiple endings
>multiple starting stories

>skills
You forget about the implants. Specialist implants will give you abilities that you cant get without an implant.

Attached: baito desu.gif (400x254, 1.43M)

All of that stuff has been officially confirmed my dude.

What are people expecting from this game? All I want is openworld Deus ex. Game looks like it is exactly that.

Maybe a while ago, not gonna happen anymore. It'll be like Telltale games where your choices don't actually matter.

You can see the multiple paths in the new demo. How is what i wrote bait?
They even showed the origin selection screen and talked about the different beginnings you will have in the dev talk after the 15 minute video.
Tell me again how is what i wrote bait?

I'm afraid that logic doesn't follow
If anything it shows they consider level scaling very important these days.

see

Should've been just four: Body (Strength/Endurance), Intelligence (Int/Willpower), Reflexes (Dexterity/Speed) and Cool (Perception/Charisma).
Intelligence gets Engineering (crafting?), Technical (use/operation of devices/constructs) and Medic. Reflexes gets Martial Combat. Cool gets Explosives.
if sticking with 5 major stats - add explosives to Technical and Medic to Intel.

Is Splinter Cell an RPG?

Attached: gh.jpg (647x481, 70K)

This is CDPR not Telltale so all you just wrote is a bunch of trash.

The game looks like trash but I am sure it will still be cyberpunk, not all cyberpunk has to have the same aesthetic.

No you can't. What the fuck are you talking about?

Is that not supposed to be how it works though?
>rubberband enemy scaling
>game becomes a tedious shitfest
>no difference in difficulty/gameplay from level 1 to lvl 50
You have learned nothing from Oblivion or Skyrim, did you.

Don't forget every skill in skyrim has its own perk tree (although admitidly pretty basic)

>This is CDPR not Telltale

They're becoming the same thing soon enough

They literally showed that in the video they just released though you retard. Did you play Witcher 3? Complain about the gameplay all you like but that game had a shitload of different endings and things you could do that affected the world.

They mentioned siding with factions. But can you reject all of that and become your own boss like in VBTM? I just wanna be a rabid Asian girl that abuses drugs and only wrist blades throats senselessly.

>Splinter Cell
>you do realize that's a screenshot of Deus Ex?

Thats Deus Ex. And yes, its has heavy RPG elements, despite being FPS.

>Did you play Witcher 3?
God no. Why would I play a shit game?

You can certainly finish it with starting armor or none at all because fucking quen.

Of course they are, in your mentally ill brain.

user, this isn't an rpg.

Whats with all the anons who shit on CyberPunk? Are they by any chance bioware/bethesda shills? Or just braindead retards?

By that logic Baldur's Gate doesn't qualify as an RPG because there are only a handful of skills (outside of weapon proficiencies).

But they clearly are advertising it like you can do that.

This An RPG is a ROLE PLAYING GAME. Emphasis on ROLE PLAYING.

>falling for advertising in 2019
hownew?

>Yea Forums regards Human Revolution as one of the best RPGs ever made despite having no meaningful RPG elements
>but CP2077 isn't considered an RPG even though it has actual attributes and skills
Why the double standard?

Attached: 17327128128.jpg (2000x2000, 895K)

As rpg as wolfstein youngblood

We're sometimes wrong.

Nobody with a brain thinks DX:HR is an rpg

>4 gun trees to shoot harder
>blades tree to hit harder
>separate melee tree to hit even harder

>two exp counters for artificial depth

You role play in every game
so every games is rpg ?

>Why the double standard?
Trannies hate on CDPR and have a discord coordinated attacks against the game.

I dont know why people pretend that the Witcher 3 was an RPG and not a ubisoft-esque open world combat game.

Original Deus Ex wasn't true RPG either.

Did they mention anything about romances yet?

Attached: 1374571604148.jpg (600x691, 174K)

How about not being given a specific role to play and then told what that specific role can and cannot do? You know, like a real role-playing game.

Attached: Factions.jpg (640x1138, 73K)

Yes, and?

Cyberpunk 2077 is gonna be a load of unsatisfying combat and 3 minute cutscenes with characters that are about as developed as plastic. It will feel and operate exactly like a game you've played before.

You know what I mean you autist.

>ugh contrarian!
Every time.

>quen fag
shouldve known.

pure igni + decoction builds for true witchering on DM

>builds
Nigger, you don't need a build to abuse quen. It's retarded.

Bingo. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle.

I personally love the rune traps that make enemies slow.

Cyberpunk is clearly more of a Deus Ex game than a full RPG.

Is there a good reason to have blades and melee in separate trees? And why are sniper rifles under "Cool" of all things?

It's advertised as an RPG and action-adventure.
The only thing it currently "clearly" is, is action-adventure.
The fact that there was a contextual input to move a fucking box means it's absolutely not Deus Ex.

>Original Deus Ex wasn't true RPG either.
It was. You had to make choices about what skills to raise and augmentations to install, since skill points and augmentation slots were limited.

Human Revolution is not an RPG because Jensen already starts the game with almost every meaningful ability already unlocked, there are no limited augmentation slots and you get more than enough XP to max everything and there are no skills in the game.

>he wants more bloat

>with characters that are about as developed as plastic.

This is maybe the most disappointing thing. Every NPC so far has been a perpetually angry mulatto yelling "shut up and git mi da machin!" or dropping exposition for quests. No sense of character or soul.

>posts the worst set in the game

what a loser

i think they're pretty BADASS

Attached: 36342222.jpg (689x960, 72K)

>skills and attributes don't make the game an rpg
>lel the game doesn't have many of them compared to x so its not an rpg
you guys aren't very good at this

Did you somehow miss the million disgusting-looking generic drops from human enemies?
Bear is one of the two decent looking witcher sets. Except it doesn't make sense and gimps your stamina regen to shit, so you're just left with Wolf.

How the hell do you expect them to show you character development in the tiny snippets of gameplay they've showed us? At least wait till the game is out to do that.

>drunk woman can't give consent but a drunk man can

Of course Yea Forums was wrong, do you really expect any different?

This fucking board gets its shorts in a twist over the stupidest shit when they can't actually find/there is no evidence of the game being legitimately bad. Hell, when more than half the fucking threads are "OH NO NO NO NO" shit about something that doesn't fucking matter that actually points to the game being good.

Guarantee you if New Vegas came out in current year there would be faggots "bitching" about Arcade being gay or there being homo options in-game just because it gets easy (You)s.

Attached: 153720303434.jpg (680x551, 33K)

>perk points
>RPG

Oh shit, now I finally see the light. Fallout 4 is just as much of an RPG as Fallout 1. How could I have been so blind.

By allocating some time to it in the trailer instead more guns shooting numbers out of people.

>that pic
wew double standard

>perk system
>rpg

>fallout is not an RPG anymore
...

Attached: v.png (879x545, 565K)

>RPG
The shithole of a game is an action adventure game.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how the weapon skills are related to the stats governing them and some work but not all
>cool & technical: engineering
>intelligent and reflexes: hacking
This doesn't sound correct to me for example. Shouldn't that be inverted, if anything?
Of course it might just be I'm trying to read this entirely wrong and they just laid the stat page out like this haphazardly.

>telling you what you want
Might as well just make V his own character with his own motivations instead of forcing the player to have them

>mulatto
Those niggers didn't look mongrelized to me.

Cool is some sort of respect mechanic that plays into street cred I think which opens up more options in the run-down slums such as access to new vendors and/or missions.

That's Deus Ex, zoomzoom. And yes, it's an RPG

Cool is actually not how cool you look but rather how cool you are under pressure. What that actually means in terms of gameplay I don't know, but that's what the stat means according to both the tabletop game and CDPR themselves.

I just want katanas, will there be katanas?
I want to be a hacking, weeb street samurai.

Yes, they mentioned katanas were a thing during the QA thing.

Uh yeah? Only one of them will have a foreign object invade their body

Fuck yeah.

Attached: 1393182904298.jpg (650x653, 33K)

yay marginal percentage improvements to pre-assigned abilities...

Attached: 1566945068941.png (276x222, 17K)

Is it the same guy that makes pro and anti threads for games all day just so that he has something to talk about?

isn't this basically just the Witcher 3 menu options just reskinned?

>fully fledged
Yeah...

Dilate.
