Oh, it's not ideal. Ideally you should have the chance to play both game series on both systems. Or, preferably, on PC so you can avoid the whole console war bullshit. I can understand Switch owners wanting as many games on their systems; it's not as if the early PS4 owners weren't asking for everything under the sun be ported to their new system when it released either.

However, I do note that SMT has been exclusively Nintendo for awhile now, and Persona exclusively Playstation, making note of the differences. Even with SMT not officially being Nintendo-only or anything similar, it's still only been released on Nintendo systems and favors the dungeon crawl focus over the half-VN focus that Persona currently has.

Souls, Yakuza, Tales of, Monster Hunter, etc. ALL have objectively worse communities than when they were only on console, and even with Souls and Tales of, the games got shittier too (Dark souls 2, Zestiria) We are lucky that Monster Hunter World PC is not a high priority for the devs, as they would have ruined that too to appeal to PCunts.
