Play more games.

You don't play many FPSs do you

I play a ton of games, dont go posting DMC like that counts are gunplay like I am talking about user.

Played every AAA shooter this year. COD's alpha had the best gunplay. Insurgency and Squad aren't AAA and also aren't the same kind of shooter. Even then MW's gunplay is like Insurgency.

What gunplay are you talking about? Be specific if you are going to get mad.

A fps user.

>What happened?
Nearly all of the senior IW people who went to Respawn with Jason West and Vince Zampella are back at Infinity Ward again. IIRC the head dev for the multiplayer this time around was the lead map designer for CoD2/4/MW2.

A few Respawn devs who weren't at Infinity Ward before are now there as well, including Ranon Sarono (AKA Hyper) who's in charge of reload animations. Jason West went over to Epic Games a few months ago, and I think Vince Zampella is one of the only IW people left at Respawn.

Respawn is basically dead. They've been bleeding talent since EA bought them out. EA's been really driving them hard on Onions Wars: Uncharted Edition and Apex Legends, and Titanfall 3 is growing increasingly unlikely. It really sucks to see- they went from being very open, community-driven devs, interacting with players across forums and social media and doing loads of AMAs on reddit and Yea Forums (and, yes, even on 8ch) and after the buyout and reshifting they just totally clammed up and went dark, until their first interaction with fans in a while a couple weeks ago, which went fucking horribly because everyone there is stressed and miserable, even by AAA dev standards.

For what it's worth, a big reason so many Infinity Ward devs jumped ship to join West and Zampella was because it was revealed that Activision was trying to hire private detectives and hackers to spy on their internal communications:

Just imagine how poor conditions at Respawn have to be at this point to want to go BACK to IW.

Now this is a quality post. I had no idea about the spying shit. Imagine making a game and feeling like you're on a fucking defense program

A game cant have the best gunplay if you cant beat the shit out of them with the gun or fatally toss a gun at someone

>if you cant beat the shit out of them with the gun
IIRC rifle butting is back in this.

Nigga if you out there sayin DMC has gunplay u dumb as hell.

Nice, only secures my COD purchase even further

Yep melee isn't an instant kill you whack em

Personally I prefer Halo or Titanfall where landing accurate shots is more important than just twitch blasting clips into enemies the millisecond you see them.

MWs TTK is like Titanfall with more recoil. It's nice

guns felt extremely sexy in mw alpha i agree especially the fat deagle

I don't know about best, but IW make only CoD and only CoD and have done so for years so they should be mastering the one element you need to nail in a FPS

I knew a shit ton of people, but i thought it was only 7-10 people, didn't know about the shit going on at Respawn, these guys cant catch a fucking break, but i guess thats a given teaming up with companies like these.

wow this makes me feel very confident in MW as long as it doesn't get fucked up the ass by activision greed, rip titanfall tho slide hopping was fun asf

In terms of gunplay, MW2019 might be the closest thing we ever get to Titanfall 3.

*magazines

Sure but players are glued to the floor, i prefer titanfalls 70mph flying through the sky gameplay. It's more fun

the dream is over user
respawn just does battle royale now

Every few days I play Titanfall 2 and grow livid at what EA's done to them. Westwood, Bullfrog, Pandemic, Maxis, and soon, Bioware and Respawn.

We can't keep letting them get away with it.

faggot

Redpill: CoD was always the best fps experience on console and top tier in pc. You just got duped by the reddit mod to believe they were "dude bro bad" instead of just realizing the market was just a little over saturated.

td;dr if you ever believed CoD was bad, you're a mob following brainlet.

>singlehandedly keeps EA afloat
Pssh, nothing personnel kid

CoD was bad after MW2

>td;dr if you ever believed CoD was bad, you're a mob following brainlet.
Fuck off, there are surely more bad COD games than good at this point. They've been coasting off the success of COD4 for over a decade, never once innovating beyond superficial shit like "moar gunz and gwaffics!1!"

They weren't bad, people were just tired of it. If they came out in a period of a drought or were released first, they'd be declared goty

>they were bad because they never innovated!
Thanks for agreeing with my point, you fucking idiot.

You said I'm an idiot for ever believing CoD was ever bad, which is fucking retarded, because it's been consistently bad for years.

Also, the only reason the market was just "a little over saturated" was because Activision was pumping out CoD every single year since 2009.

the series has always had solid gunplay. what it does isnt for everyone, what with the small maps and cheesey arcade feel. but it does this really well, and it is always good fun for me

Wrong. It was bad after AW.

Black Ops was 10/10, cool story, really good weapon selection and perk balance and map design in MP.
MW3's MP was obviously half-baked and lackluster, but the campaign was bretty gud and the Spec Ops was better than 2's. Survival Mode made that game for me.
BO2 was great, and some really good things going in its campaign, but I kind of would have liked it to stick with its original idea of being entirely set in the 80s/90s, with the original writers and level designers, and the story revolving around Mason and Woods trying to find Reznov. Dunno why they decided to switch to near-future and bring on David Goyer, but the game ended up being ok so... oh well.
Ghosts was... iffy, campaign had some moments going for it but MP wasn't very good. Extinction was ok. It still has the best MP character customization of any CoD, too.
Advanced Warfare had a decent campaign, exo survival mode was fun, and the multiplayer was okay for the most part, even if most of the maps didn't mesh too well with the exo movement.
BO3 sucked. Campaign was disconnected from WaW/1/2, specialists suck, and the MP map design was ruined by the decision to rip off Titanfall's movement but make it shittier
Infinite Warfare wasn't as bad, but still sucked. Much better campaign than people give it credit for, but still relatively shoddy MP.
WWII mostly sucks. Campaign is really bland and boring, even by CoD standards, and is truncated with long unskippable first-person cutscenes. The multiplayer is too fast and frenetic and doesn't complement the maps at all. The character customization literally ruins the MP for me- I can't play a game anymore without people dressed like neon grim reapers running around cutting people up with broadswords. It's really unpolished and it's obvious Sledgehammer was rushing the whole project cuz they had to scrap AW2.
BOIIII sucks, no campaign, specialist shit, bad 3 lane maps. Blackout is ok as far as BR games go, but BR games suck.

What a retard. You're literally saying what he's saying, you numb nuts

There are three things you need for satisfying gunplay.
Good animations, good sound effects, and good effect on target, aka damage feedback.
MW2019 has all three nailed pretty well.

he cute, i'm going to buy his game

>It was bad after AW
This, ghost and aw had flaws but you could still have fun in them.
ghosts maps were too big for 6 players and the ttk was too quick (even though this stems from better servers and they tried to add a slower ttk mode) and aw introduced lootboxes and copied titanfall but at least you had a good flow and more freedom on where to go.
after aw they made every map close quarters 3 lanes with wacky abilities so everyone can net a kill.

WW2 was the game that got me back into the series after i quit around MW3. i loved it alot, played it everyday for atleast an hour until the servers were too deserted. the systems with divisions were really nice, made for some cool class customizations

WW2's most fatal flaw, MP wise, is how it had 5 classes at launch and added several more as the DLCs were released and threw off the balance completely.

>cod will be good this year! i swear!
no it won't, it never will be

>CoD was always the best fps experience on console

Pretty much yeah.

>and top tier in pc

It's fine, but it's pretty shallow. Insurgency, Squad, TF2, CS, Siege, and probably a few other shooters have more depth than CoD. I've never understood the point of CoD TDM. It's pretty much randomly dying and respawning over and over, shit's dull.

>It's pretty much randomly dying and respawning over and over, shit's dull.
To be fair, that's literally what built the multiplayer FPS genre up to begin with.

>never
Play United Offensive and get back to me.

too bad the games always die on pc within weeks
i'm not going to play an fps with my thumbs

Cross-play makes this a non-issue

>BOIIII
Say BO4, Activision does.

No one plays boomer games anymore user
