Why the fuck is Byleth a silent protagonist?
They bothered to remove character customization and include Byleth in cutscenes which led me to believe he/she would be treated like an actual character instead of an avatar for the player. There's even a ton of moments in supports where you have one dialogue choice.
Byleth is close to being a character with their own thoughts, feelings, and personality separate from the player. Why did they end up making them silent outside of level ups?

Eugenics wise it doesn't really matter, Lissa alone can pass one some of the best shit in the game. Her cleric turns into Myrmidon and she just needs to pass Galeforce and Owain is set.
You get your choice of husband depending on what you want to go for. For speed it's Lonqu, Strength it's Vaike or Fred, Donnel if you want a fun Owain with godly level ups and insane Luck.
Romance wise she's shippable with nearly every single one of her pairings. Lonk is a really popular one but I found it kind of generic. Freddy is good for the knight and lady aspect but I never liked the age difference. I always paired her with Donnel for the Princess & farm boy-turned-hero kind of thing, plus it turns Owain into an actual JRPG protagonist that grows up in a small town.
Really Lissa's just great all around.
