It's money. If you're going to invest so much time and money into something, it's ideal to maximize your profits. That's why we've seen a big mobile gaming push and why free to play games are almost standard now. They make much more money that way AND are able to gain and retain new players which is crucial to multiplayer games.

No point in working hard and making quality content when you can just milk stupid shit. Look at how awful Valve became. They don't make games. The other bullshit they did with SteamOS was a failure and all their other shit. They found a way to make money selling stupid hats with MINIMAL effort on a game that is already done which makes them more money than anything. They get a cut from anything on their store which is why they opened the flood gates and saturated the store with asset flips. They found a way to monetize your Steam profile with levels.

Why would they release Half-Life 3? All that work and effort, just for pennies in comparison to doing nothing and printing money. On top of how overhyped it would be and if there's even a little flaw how much it would damage their video game track record and reputation. They already fired their greatest writer and probably developers.

The state of our society is getting worse with the rise of degeneracy such as SJW, extreme feminism, jewis racemixing propagand and all that shit. When all of this shit is getting worse more and more people are getting affected by it and they can't keep their mind off of it thus it's making it's way into everything because people want to send a message or they rebel agains something they consider propaganda that opposes their views. It's why I can't watch movies or play story rich games anymore. I haven't played any games at all in the last 3 months. Basically people are getting more and more radicalized because it's necessary to contrast the opposing side. Rough times are ahead. I hope we can eliminate all of the degenerate shit that's happening nowday or we're fucked.
