Post what you expected from Cyberpunk 2077 before the 2018 and 2019 demos and trailers.
Hard Mode: No smart-ass "I expected it not to be this/that" nonsense. Focus on what you wanted it to be, not what you didn't want it to be.

It's everything I wanted and more. First Person Action RPG with high customization and role-play. A story that matters. An emphasis on punk.
This, pretty much.
Yea Forums hates it. So that means it'll be pretty good.
well, newfags hate it. you know, the ones posting "cringe! based! seethe! cope!" on loop like broken npcs.
i remember when shit here was a bit more accurate. like, brink. brink was thought to be bad. and it was.
I expected it not to be this/that
before i was really hyped now it is just meh
CDPR is normalfag/zoomer core, you can not deny this.
That said, the trailers so far are disappointing
>worst gunplay in recent memory, literal Q3A tier animation and projectile impact
>latest “gameplay demo” shows NPCs having awkward, mechanical idle animations, DXHR tier
>pointless button prompts during scripted, non-interactive segments (press X to say voice line - nobody responds, nothing happens (two examples in the same scene))
The only good thing shown were skill checks
Modern Deus Ex but on a grander scale, more freedom, not focused on conspiracies and with a dose of Cyberpunk 2020 stuff scattered around. Thus far, it's far exceeded my expectations.
Deus Ex with a bigger open world and a larger focus on the punk aesthetics.
So far that's what it's shaping up to be.
