Meh, it's entertaining I guess. It starts off quite off putting and janky but combat possibilities open up in few missions and it gets more fun. Still, I feel like it'll be "just" solid above average for me, mostly because I feel nothing about Astral Chain quite lives to it's full potential. I haven't replayed missions with Ultimate difficulty yet, but Standard feels way too easy which is one my biggest detriments. Only challenge comes from trying to go for high ranks in combat since game showers you with healing items if you bother exploring at all and thus dying is almost impossible.
Nothing so awful that I would drop it or regret buying it, I predict that I would give this 7/10.

It was heavily advertised in Japan. Almost not at all in West.

Because you know it runs on handheld hardware. It is what the game kinda feels like too, it's like it's been designed for Japs who play it from checkpoint to checkpoint in commuters and after work.
