I don't understand any of the hype for a game like this... Why would anyone be excited over a game like this? What makes it exciting? That it's set in a cyberpunk world? It has the usual game mechanics you can expect from triple A games from companies no one really likes.

Early trailers looked cool plus it's made by CDPR who have had a good track record so far.
Public opinion started splitting ever since more and more gameplay has been shown, some still love it and others are vocal about their dislike.
I'm in the middle, I'm no longer interested in the game but I doubt that it will be bad. I'm sure people who like FPSs will like it
