Colossus is a character with the ability to buff his defense and even reflect damage with a bunch of grappling moves and one tackle

Cyclops is a melee+range character with various optic blasts like ricochet, triple shot(he jumps and the air to do that), eyes wide open which is basically off my lawn and hold down optic blast which he can move while doing

As someone who hasn’t really touched the rift/challenges/whatever they’re called, am I going to be able to jump in and immediately do the trials to unlock Cyke/Colossus or am I looking at a “shit man, you gotta clear all three previous rifts before you can do it”?

Marvel has a big history with Conan, actually. He sold super well for them back in the 70's and was one of their big pillars. If MUA's roster was about repping Marvel as a company then Conan really does deserve a spot.

Colossus also has two moves that require low level mooks in order to actually use them, so it evens out.

I enjoy it, there's plenty of characters that I find cathartic to play.

tried to play with friends and the camera just fucked everything up. there were times we couldn't see where the enemies were so we stopped playing really quickly

Oh wait those are all shit for this kind of game. Well Human Torch and Thing are okay. You had to unlock the real Venom too. Really, the only non-DLC characters I want from 2 that aren't in 3 are Iceman, Gambit, and Green Goblin. Then again, those are probably coming as DLC to 3 so there ya go. Half of the PS3/360 DLC characters from 2 are playable already (Magneto, Psylocke, and Black Panther) and the other half (Juggernaut, Carnage, and Cable) are cool, but they aren't that high on my list of who needs to be in a game like this. Then there are NPC characters that have battle sounds and taunt messages programmed in so they're probably coming: Ant-man, Beast, Black Dwarf, Bullseye, (Colossus), Corvus Glaive, (Cyclops), Dormammu, Dr Octopus, Ebony Maw, Electro, Gorgon, Green Goblin, Hela, Jessica Jones, Juggernaut, Kingpin, Klaue, Maximus, MODOK, Mysterio, Mystique, Nebula, Nick Fury, Nova, Odin, Proxima Midnight, Red Skull, Ronan, Sand Man, Supergiant, Surtur, Thane, Thane (Possessed), Sentinel, Ultron, Ultimo, Vision, and Winter Soldier.
You'd have to include all DLC and version exclusive characters (which you can't use with other version exclusive characters, obviously) in 2 to even come close to 3. MUA3 plays much better than 2 on top of it.

Nintendo negotiated the licensed, but then passed over development to Koei Tecmo. You can even see in the title screen and such that they hold copyright for the game, while KT are only the developers.

Yes, the update adds a new rift that's unlocked once you beat Xavier's mansion. You get them there.

For me, it's Man-Thing.

Since Juggernaut is coming, I'd really like another one of Cage's Thunderbolts to go along with him and Man-thing. Ideally Satana for me, also because you gotta have lady characters and magic is underrepresented. Moonstone could use phasing powers if Vision has any. Her and Songbird would basically be 'flying laser beams' and we've already got that, especially lady beams with Carol. Songbird could have a big wall shield or binding abilities though. Mach V is meh, I'd rather have War Machine even he is just a ranged Iron Man and we've already got Falcon (although he's pretty disappointing). Ghost would be neat but I don't know how you'd make attacks for him beyond phasing and a generic electric attack. Crossbones is just evil Punisher so skip him. I almost forgot about Fixer, but then again so did the Thunderbolts.

The B-Team could be cool too, but Luke didn't interact with them much and that's what I'm really after. Troll, Shocker, Centurius, Boomerang, and Mister Hyde all have potential. I'd love Boomerang (especially now that he's Peter Parker's roommate) but I think he'd be too close to Bullseye or Black Widow. Hyde is pretty redundant after having Hulk, Colossus, and Ben Grimm. Shocker would probably have an electric attack and that'd trigger my 'tisms. Troll is cute and I wouldn't mind her, but she's a nobody. Centurius is another meh. I like the character in Thunderbolts but I don't think he'd be that interesting in game.
