Looking back

How did the frame drops in the first month before the game got finally patched not ruin your experience with the game? It was litrally unplayable in all the forests and villages. I have no idea how people could greenlight it or how people could giv eit 10/10s like that.

And I'm not a guy who cares a lot about this stuff. It ruined my experience.

Reviewers are animals.

it only happened in an area without any enemies or action

The jungle with all the lizards killed my Switch before the update, especially when raining.

Also villages are a key element of 3D Zeldas, it's a bit sad when they are nearly unplayable.

>The jungle with all the lizards killed my Switch before the update, especially when raining.
I thought that was only an issue on the wii u version?

By being retarded like this guy Most gaymers are.

got em

No, both were literally unplayable at times in the first month after release. In the location in OP the Switch version could hit 14 FPS.

The villages had horrible framerates

pretty sure op pic is in the korok forest?

doesn't contradict what I said, but yes

Played fine on my machine

Yes. It ruined what was supposed to be the most epic moment in the game.

>enter magical forest to get nostalgia bombed
>nope, trudge to MS at 12 FPS like in a slide show

>only combat is action

The wonders of low shit standards.

what action is there in the villages?

Riding, cimbing, cutting and exploding stuff, gliding, sidequests like catching characters, stealth stuff, etc. Literally simply running can be construed as action in a game.

You are literally justifying below-20 FPS framedrops right now, btw. Just in case you aren't aware of it. And you're also falsifying by pretending it only happens in villages and not in forests outside and especially the jungle or whenever it's raining.

Doesn't the game literally freeze when you use the motorcycle and drive too fast through some locations even today lol?

that was patched

>dips into 20 FPS
>"literally unplayable" while claiming you don't actually care about performance
That's not how it works, trog.

Even after the patches it's still rough when youre looking/moving around in the Korok Forest, Rito Village and Kakariko Village.

I ain't justifying it at all, I was replying directly to the OP's question:
>[did framedrops] ruin your experience with the game?
and I feel they did not since I only experienced framedrops in villages and similar areas without any combat or action going on. Your examples of "action" are ridiculous, most of them don't even apply to the villages to begin with - you can't ride a horse in a village, there's very little to explode/destroy in there, and there's no quest to catch something in any town as far as I recall either. I also never experienced sub-20fps personally, since the game is triple-buffered I only ever had either 30fps or 20fps in these unpatched areas. To make things completely clear, I am not okay with shitty framerates, and I'm glad it got patched as it hampered my enjoyment of the game a fair amount, but it did not ruin the experience overall for me.

only place it'd slow down for me was the Deku Tree area.

Look at this virgin actually reading posts
