Comfy WoW Classic thread?

Anyone else playing WoW for the first time in about a decade?

I'm having a great time leveling with my Dwarf Huntard in Dun Morogh. What are you guys playing?

>What are you guys playing?
not that heap of dated garbage

>Anyone else playing WoW for the first time in about a decade?

no because i'm not a fucking retard

>Yea Forums MUST shit on vidya!

Try to let people enjoy things.

>Anyone else playing WoW for the first time in about a decade?
You know it! Stopped playing when TBC came out and am having a blast so far. Playing a human rogue, ganked my first horde nigger today, felt good :>

Human warrior, I've been playing too much already. Hit 21 last night.

people are close to hitting 60 already, so i dont think you've played too much

I have a job, I've just got to level 10

Am starting tonight, after dropping the game early-mid wrath, and picking back up at Pandaria
I have one bro who only played vanilla/tbc when he was a nipper and doesn't remember anything, and another bro who played side by side retail
I'm playing dwarf hunter as well. Currently thinking of what spec to go, not sure if beast master for easy pet tank fagging or marksman for maximum gunshot noise spam
Gonna enjoy mapping out the world promising without guide shittery

What’s better for priest, male or female

Those people have barely slept if at all and are playing the most optimal way with their guild. If you played the game you'd know the grind is crazy and takes a very long time for your average player. There's also a lot to do besides just gaining xp.

I'm currently trying to pick my second character class.

male, so you can rp as a catholic pedophile priest or cult leader

Honestly, I'm tired of hating on classic wow. I was gonna make a cheap wojak reply but I decided not to. Have fun user

me. rolled a human pally, questing in westfall just as comfy as i remember. I forgot how good this game was bros

>pally

All paladins are fags

I've stopped already. The time commitment is too much, I could only play a game like classic when I was a teenager.

how come no MMO has come close to this feeling since?

god damn

some streamers are already level 55+... hello? I thought this was supposed to last for months?

I want to play as human but goddamn their models look so stupid

I just finished up westfall. Just need to do DM and then it's off to red ridge. I also made about 2g off enchanting wands. Anyone else playing on benediction?

are druids useless bros?

>Whole week over 12k ques
..................................

Attached: 1557604404670.jpg (943x960, 110K)

Druids can fill every role at about 90% of a dedicated class. They are the best generalists and are great for filling holes in a lineup but they don't really do anything better than anyone else.

My druid is now 28. Having a grand time.
Where do I go though? Southshore? I seem a bit too low for STV.

You better play as a healer.

You mean VC? DM isn't out.

You will pay the Hybrid Tax in classic. But useless? Not unless you're raiding and need a specific class configuration.

Who else here priestbro and buffs everyone they come by

Classic isnt so cut and dry like retail.

Before lvl 10, kind of. You do a lot of melee hitting while oom.
After 10 and bear form? You solo elite quests and rarely have to pause.
It only gets better and better. Remember to stack spirit and stamina.

Class for special snowflakes

>played WoW back in the day. Never managed to hit max level before Lich King even though I started in vanilla
>people already hitting 60 within a week of classic release

What did I do wrong?

Attached: f92189bdd3cac245ec2f15168d56e19d.jpg (1487x1104, 98K)

Because it was the last MMO released before the Zoomer brought post ironic anticomedy and autistic adherence to whatever twitchfag they were sounding themselves thinking about to the internet.

>Anyone else playing WoW for the first time in about a decade?

nah watching JokerD stream tho pretty funny

Anyone try AoE grinding with a mage yet? The layers seem a lot less crowded than private servers but I haven't gotten to contested zones yet.

What class for my Dwarf lads?

Will the Whitemane queue ever get better? I almost want to roll on Blaumeux because of it

Just play less?

So my friend decided to be a dick and change from rogue to mage. Ohr group now consists of my mage friend, my warrior friend, and me a priest. Now my brother is getting in. He’s thinking lock which means more competition, but holy shit that synergy would be amazing. What classes should he go? We’re alliance this time around

Does anyone have a site where I can check quests and what prequest there are etc. ?

I missed a quest somewhere and can't find the start of the quest line.

What do we think of UD warriors?

Attached: 1566762040268.webm (540x960, 1.76M)

> studio of 50+ method members "racing" to lvl 60
> practices for months running the perfect route of dungeons/quests to get to lvl 60 as quick as possible.
> gonna lose to some solo bald gnome just killing world mobs and abusing layers
> so upset they say he is account sharing
OH NO NO NO N O NONONONO

c o p e

I never played WoW in my life, and my favorite thing to do in MMOs is to run around stalking people and judging them on their actions. Is this a good game for stalking strangers?

you just know

Bump

I like that the guy in lead to 60 is some random swede

Yes. Group with a few hunters from retail for rich source material

Trol shaman, same I did back in the day... Only played to level 7 but so far, so good.
It's real boys, I'm back home

Had my first world pvp experiences after 15 years of playing on a pve server. Saved some UD priest getting ganked by a druid in Ashenvale, and later in Stonetalon got jumped by another druid who I soundly beat. Felt pretty good not gonna lie.

Attached: 1519725853708.jpg (185x82, 4K)

Are Druids useful as healers?

Only zoomers call DM VC.

>Be a retards
>Burn the game in less than a week to get zoomer money streaming
>WTF blizzard no content!!
>angrysoywojak.png

It's great so far, never played WoW but I'm a Warcraftfag since WC1. Playing an undead warlock since I used to play Scourge back in WC3, and a friend of mine is playing an undead spriest. Gonna do RFC for the first time this weekend.

join sulfuruas if you want to have a good time

Human Mage, Level 18. Going to try and run Deadmines a few times today to get some better gear. Currently trying to get through the redridge mountain questlines. I absolutely love it, leveling in this game is long but its like therapy. I just throw on some music or a show in the background and go to town. Met about a dozen people already playing casually.

I got to lvl 25 with my shaman before I called quits. My friends had reached 31 and I just couldn't keep up. Vanilla is pure dogshit when you don't have friends to play with.

Attached: 1566747973268.gif (421x389, 1021K)

Played to level 12 but I don't think this is for me. It was comfy alright but knowing what awaits me ruins it for me. I'm not going to sweat it up in raids and then there's nothing to look forward to. No destination for the journey.

>use remote desktop to get through the 6 hour queue while working
>use remote desktop to run around in orgrimmar to not DC
>finally get home and spend 10+ hours playing

I've been living the wagecuck life all week and I've still made it to level 31.

I just got out of a two hour Wailing Caverns run. Exhausting as fuck but fulfilling and fun. We bantered through the whole thing without it feeling forced, and made sure each of us got all six quests done (including the hides post-run).

>playing as a warrior human

So this is what torture is like.

Attached: 220px-Göring_Augsburg_1945_cropped.png (220x282, 105K)

Hope you have fun in Westfall user. We all appreciate the sacrifices you make so you can tank dungeons

Yes
If the tank isn't taking enough damage to warrant a 24/7 vigil on their health they can shift into cat form to contribute DPS

Im a orc rogue. I play wow for the first time and im already addicted lol but its okay since new semester starts in one month.
Anyway I have a few questions if someone wants to answer:
1. I picked herbalism at level 18 so pretty late, im very with the skill now. Are there any spots where I can grind it quickly?
2. To get gold I just vendor drops and stuff from skinning + money I get from quests. Are there further things I could/should do in that early level range (Lvl 18 right now) to earn more gold?

You're Horde so go grind one of the starting zones. Mulgore will probably be really easy because its less populated than the other zones. Spend 2 hours running around there and you should be pretty caught up on herbalism.

To make more money you can't do much more, keep skinning and selling literally everything. If you find any greens you dont want sell them on the AH for 25-30% more than vendor price. Also when going to a trainer to get skills only take the skills you know you'll 100% use.

could someone recommend a leveling build for paladins? i'm playing with a group that already has a dedicated healer

so I decided on hunter as my first character, and while I like having a pet, I find it pretty dull to play a character who just stands there and sends their pet in to attack while all my actual attacks basically look the same but with different colours for different effects.

what are the most fun DPS classes?

>what are the most fun DPS classes?

warrior for most challenging

the classes you are looking for are rogue, mage and feral druid

Rogue, Warlock, Shaman are all pretty fun. Rogues have tons of utility in combat but leveling can be a pain as a melee DPS. Warlock also have a pet but you get to juggle DoTs and when you're good you can pull 2-4 enemies at once and you also have tons of survivability. Shamans are just a fun as fuck class but kind of useless as DPS in raids if you're going to raid, if you aren't raiding then just have fun. I'd also say Mage is fun because they have lots of cool skills but you mostly just spam frostbolt for the first 30 levels.

I'm playing a lock which also has pets and I'm having a great time, maybe consider lock if you're open to a caster. Great class flavour, pet management is pretty fun if you turn off some of the autocasts and micromanage them, cool looking spells.

If you like melee maybe try rogue or something, I hear they're fun.

Attached: lock.jpg (643x800, 488K)

I keep hitting alt-f4 because I get so insanely bored walking around at a snail's pace, having the most boring rotation, having to wait for mana after every 2-3 kills, and walking around in a world that looks like it was made for Playstation 1 hardware. Then again leveling in retail isn't much better.

Attached: dog-bowl-dimensions-by-kevin-kennedy-of-product-design-online.jpg (1884x1256, 185K)

>and walking around in a world that looks like it was made for Playstation 1 hardware.

It was created in 1999

dont play warrior if you cant off tank retards

Alright, ty-

Never seriously played wow, this is giving me Timberland vibes.

FF10 came out in 2001 and looks next-gen compared to WoW

The only good thing about classic is everyone will have a definitive "main" now, and not rolling a thousand alts.

honestly lads i love the game and i have no faults, but the magic i felt when i was 13 has gone. very sad. :( what do lads ):

I tried out a MoP pirate server about 3 years ago, it was alright, but I miss the most the TBC days, which is the expansion with which I got into the game. A pity that Classic leaves me in kind of an awkward position since everyone is happy with it but I'd like a TBC "Classic".

Still made an account, Tauren hunter at lvl 12 currently, I know I know, it's in spanish, it's more nostalgic for me that way but I'm gonna have to change since everyone else uses english on the chat when asking for things like raids or WTB.

play the opposite faction of what you normally play

That’s what I did with my buddies. I had no idea how nice westfall was.

i am, maybe ive just grown out of it all now

my first ever character was a troll hunter, i remember because i got to level 20 using a 2h sword and never once used a bow, i thought that was how it was meant to be played. i died a lot..

tell me about your first experience with the game

>start playing as a male orc warrior
>don't feel satisfied with the character
>switch to male tauren druid
>still don't feel satisfied
>realize that I have dysphoria and need to play as female characters
>tauren is already level 10 with professions leveled and several hours /played

Attached: 1536436584118.jpg (720x720, 91K)

FF10 used alot of cinematic trickery and wasn't a game where the world still mattered when you got into combat or were just walking around town outside of scenes.

WoW was probably the first mmorpg that could still look stylish yet run on a toaster, at least for its time.

FFXI was around before WoW but did an extreme amount of shortcuts and spaghetti-code to make their looks look more unique, especially at race selection screens. FFXI did a great job of making their armors/clothes look unique though. Now that I think about it, Lineage 2 did a decent jobs on aesthetics as well, but definitely had issues on toasters.

You're not wrong in the mentality. Everquest and FFXI fags constantly argue about which "eras" were the best. Most EQ-fags cand stand to be in the Velious era followed by Planes of Power, while FFXI faggots have more arguments over what they prefer. Based on what I've seen from FFXI, the people who constantly argue in favor of nu-ffxi are zoomer trannies just looking for more erp fodder.

Attached: MWjoyeuse.png (449x798, 342K)

Are you one of those trannies who feels that playing a female character is deeper then looking at its tits and ass all day?

>6
TBC CLASSIC HABBIN dont worry bro
stop being a fag and play
solution is to stop being a anime faggot poster its okay to like anime but not okay to be a faggot poster like yourself

>anime picture
>tranny
>thinks level 10 is hard to get too
>thinks professions matter at level 10

Fpbp

oh no he can not afford 14.95 USD

TBC was trash and was the first expansion to begin casualizing wow

>friend group got to 18
>that first WC run
>buddy who is completely new is amazed at how big it is
>coordinating CC use
>those precarious jumps at the top
>tanking finally clicked for newfriend
>got some cool blues for everyone

Attached: 1560094512672.gif (289x289, 128K)

Female so you can erp your heals tightly around my dick

What level can you start grinding dungeons

What faction? This isn't retail, you need to quest and grind mobs user. But you can easily start doing dungeons around 18-22 for both factions. You'll get bored of running the same dungeon 500 times pretty quickly though

I like it more you make more friends on vanilla wow. And that was the best part of it. New Wow is just people teleporting to dungeons. It killed the magic of making random new friends.

My friend keeps complaining about how hard tanking is, because getting rage doesn't come easy. I don't blame him, everyone starts dpsing the moment he charges a creep. I remember back in vanilla people would wait 3 sec before they started casting spells.

nothing, you enjoyed yourself right?

Anyone else playing Horde on Grobbulus? Nobody told me rppvp servers were so comfy.

It's true, but it's better in some ways then fighting other people for quest mobs

Alliance on Grobbulus. RPPVP is the best server, a way more mature user base and it's easy to avoid ERP because you just report them and ignore. Once you're past level 10 and out of the starter zones it's way better. You don't even have to RP 99% of the time

>sit in sw
>someone whispers me that my character looks cute (fem gnome)
>gifts me an item
play alliance

>echeyakee quest
>Use horn to summon him
>Spawns next to faggot warlock, who tags it before I do.
>Party invite him so I can still get credit.
>He declines.
>Summoning horn is gone.
I'm going to remember this son of a bitch's name for the rest of my life. I dont know when, but eventually I will have my revenge. You better watch your fucking back. in-game of course

I never played wow back in the day so this my first time really experiencing the game. But goddamn it's sad that it's such a breath of fresh air in the current market to have things require interaction with other people as well as not everything being homogenized. It's great having a niche to fill that isn't instantly replaced by 5 other jobs cause they're all the same like current shit.

Why the fuck is this shit so difficult in modern mmos?

Modern MMOs arent built by a passionate team of gamers. Classic WoW was built by a team that already established a lore rich world and they put months and months of work straight into making a game they're passionate about. Modern games are more about checking boxes and trying to appeal to trends.

Too bad you are so inexperienced with games you actually think this.

>gamers

What was his name?

Please name a single game that's come out in the past year that has any soul in it.

I work 50 hours a week and go to the gym for 2 hours, 5-6 times a week
No friends or gf
Do you think I could play or I will always suck?

Im the same but I also have a gf. I find time to play about 2 hours a night

Candy crush mayham
Fate grand order
Waifu click

How many nerds can each server hold at the time?

Lvl 22 Dwarf Hunter here. Does anyone wanna try becoming bros and play together?
I'm on Gehennas.

Attached: Finnish grill.jpg (717x634, 108K)

No offence but if you can only play 2h a day and have a gf, I don't think it's worth it

You can still play and have a good time, just accept that you won't keep up with the no-lifers poopsocking it all day long and play at your pace.

Now is the best time to play because everyone's new and there's lots of people who've never played WoW before who are learning the game. Just play for an hour or two in the evening to wind down, do some questing, level some professions, make some friends with the people you find out in the world. It's comfy, you'll have a good time, just don't rush it.

>method losing world first to a bald gnome from Malta

lmao

Lmao

please respond pallybros

I mean i'm already level 20 so it's not that hard. That's just on average how much I can play

I'm enjoying myself. Taking my time though. Leveling a Warlock when my friend is on and a Warrior when he isn't because I never did a warrior in vanilla and it's perhaps my biggest regret about the game.

Attached: 1559573748040.jpg (512x512, 82K)

>been out questing and grinding for a while
>come back to Auberdine and the music starts playing

I'm so fucking crispy right now, you don't even know

Attached: arnold.jpg (480x381, 16K)

This is incorrect

How's the queue when you last checked? I rolled there but refunded my game time until it's less congested

Is it bad to play on a server that’s a different time than your own

Tauren Druid. Balance. Level 18? Ahhh. Ohhh.

Yes I quit in 2010.

Am a level 23 tauren druid. I healed wailing caverns 4 times in one day. I'm probably heading to hillschad foothills today.

Stay strong, comrade.

Is undead priest based or cringe

I’ve been leveling Leatherworking on my rogue. I’ve been keeping my hunter buddy and I well geared.

No queue 90% of the time. Usually you got a 20-60 minute wait around 3-6 PST but other than that i've been able to jump in

Based for sure.

You'll have a higher ping because the datacenter is physically further away from you, and if you're trying to coordinate for a raid or something everyone else will be playing at a different time than you most likely. Otherwise its probably fine.

Does blizz even know what to do with their success now that it's been proven that we really do want it? How will they fuck it up/where will they go from here?

You either get TBC and maybe Wrath before people realize Wrath ruined the game. Or you get 1.13 which would likely just import TBC changes like making Druid/Paladin tank viable or unfuck itemization

The two paths are BC (maybe wotlk) servers, or what leddit calls Classic+
I'm much more in favour of Classic+, but I have no idea how to implement it in a vanilla fashion. Adding content without changing the zones means making new zones, and depending on how they're accessible they could essentially turn into world-killing max-only areas. It's a difficult problem to solve and I have no idea how to get it done correctly.
Also grats to the edgy gnome.

Karazhan exists, Grim Batol exists, Uldum exists, you can actually do something with the Azshara zone maybe. There is a few zones they could add, but like Eastern Plaguelands its what you would call a max-level zone. You just turn these new zones into 50-55 with 60 stuff or 55-60 with dungeons and raids.

Plus stuff like using the Emerald Dream portals

Of course DM is out! It's the dungeon in Westfall, what other "DM" could there possibly be?

Am a lvl 10 undead rogue. On the main rppvp server. I aint into the weird nonsense, but tavern RP and campfire RP is my jam. I'd like to get deeper into it, but I think since the game just released, it's going to be a few weeks or so before proper RP guilds show up that want to do PvP.

I have this dream of a guild that has it's own internal storyline that defends the horde territories and actually puts their open world pvp experiences into that storyline somehow.

Alliance on Grob already has a RP guild like that. They defend NPCs and lower level players and fight the horde. Just keep looking out in chats

Horde has one too.

Level 10 Undead Warrior right now.
Enjoying it, I found a green sword and its really carrying me atm.
I should go to orgrimmar and TB soon so I can get my other weapon trainings.

Lvl 21 Human Paladin, getting comfy taking my time engineering and healing dungeons as holy spec.

its ret for leveling, thats all i know

i'm having a ton of fun with this

friends traveling together doing quests gradually growing stronger in a big dangerous world
seeing other groups doing the same
it feels like an actual MMO

sad to see how far this genre has degraded, and the sad thing is this won't last. blizzard won't learn their lesson and will milk this for all it's worth.

>tfw wanna play warrior but scared I will mess up tanking

>want to play WoW for the first time
>tfw poor and no credit card

BASED.

All UD warriors are Gregor

Causes random shit to happen when eaten. The recipe is a rare drop and the main ingredient is also rare so it consistently sells for a high price.

The first few people to get the recipe on each server are going to be rich.

it prints money
it's one of the few items that change your appearence and the recipe is fairly rare

should have played an orc or human fgt

is it the one that changes you into a ninja or skeleton?

It changes you into a human ninja or a human pirate
skeleton one is a different one that has the different effects and it actually counts as a trash magic effect
