eh, there is the odd bit of evidence here and there that supports the idea (mostly the SE music theory and the copyright strikes+removal of two specific tracks from youtube) but really, the same could be said for plenty of other characters. literally means nothing considering the theory is that Geno is a bonus character outside of the Fighter Pass and the "characters that have zero representation in Smash" line was specifically referring to the Fighter Pass itself. I'm not saying I buy into the theory but I also don't think spirits mean that the character will never get in at all. Assist Trophies, on the other hand, are pretty solid evidence of having no chance even in future DLC.

During the interview Sakurai had with Bethesda, before it could begin in full, it was reported the guys car got set on fire out in the parking lot, and he had to run out and deal with it, so Todd Howard was put in charge of Sakurai's interview. Todd Howard stated it was a shame, and hopefully the vandal is caught and punished. So Todd is the one who did the negotiations actually, the man who answered the question wasn't lying though, he was to speak to Sakurai, only his car got vandalized so he had to be replaced with Todd Howard instead. But I am sure Todd likely chose Doomguy as well...
