I wouldnt worry at all about meta knowledge. blind fun is the best thing you could have
meta doesnt even matter to 70% of players, and all games have a meta anyway.
doesnt detract from the fun at all imo. people enjoi eachother more than minute differences in performance. unless it is paramount, which you only find at the tippy-top. it can detract an indiviual thinking then, "what's the point if i cant be #1?" but it is in my humble opinion that the #1 asks why they are even there, and maybe opts for a fun alt whenever possible.
not knowing the dungeons and such is such a fun thing - srs. im glad i forgot a lot of it.
grills can be incredibly difficult because they often times want multiple things that contrast eachother. having too many options makes it all so confusing.
i find by nature they enjoi wut comes out the victor in any battle, figurative or otherwise.
they want you to chase them but they'll run, and maybe even call you names eventually for it.. but they want it.
they want whoever will sludge through all the crap to meet them in the end. sometimes you can crack them tho.

I enjoyed watching all of these. Some for the SoL relaxing fluff, some for action and cute girls and some because I like suffering. If you like Hellsing, OPM, GLT, DtB and Senki, I suggest reading the manga. OPM also has a webcomic you should read. Hellsing has a prequel manga and a three part OVA about it iirc. Dragon Maid manga gets weird so might not be your taste and the art style is drastically different from the anime. Read the novels for Slime and Senki, as well.
As for if I'd reccomend the stuff I'm currently watching, yeah some of them.

So far the game is pretty damn good, gameplay throws you more and more stuff as the game progresses so we're far from a nier automata situation where the gameplay was pretty meh.
Also lots of replayability as higher difficulty unlocks after each chapter is completed and you can directly replay them if you want but some parts of the levels will only be accessible with new power ups and legion that you get later.

That Vader scene was pure kino, I forgot it was a prequel and it blindsided the fuck out of me. I spent like a week thinking they somehow bringing him back and I was preparing to laugh at how hard people were going to bitch and moan about it
But you could get some good damage due to dealing bonus damage to panicked, burning and feared enemies iirc. Except all the enemies you want to CC and deal more damage to are immune to one or both types of CC, making the class nearly worthless in my eyes. You also summon a grand total of 0 (zero) skeletons.
