Donkey kong 64 was a good game despite it's shortcomings, and had some of the best music of the nintendo 64. Yeah, its a collectathon, but if you approach it with acceptance of that, you can appreciate the things that don't suck, like exploration, presentatiin, and monkey sounds. Also it was my first pseudo open world game and I have a soft spot for it. The only problem is that its impossible to properly emulate at this point - even the wii u virtual console port had really washed out colors.
