Does anyone else just find looking up stuff about games and thinking/talking about them more entertaining than actually playing them sometimes?

I like reading about lore in RPGs more than playing the actual games

>Friend who hasn't played Classic WoW gonna play it
>Decide to look up stuff for them
>Seems really fucking cool and interesting with tons of different classes and specs and lore
>Watching video of some guys playing Persona 4 Arena
>Think that _____ character looks cool and I'd totally play them

arguing over Undertale and what it did right/wrong is way more fun than playing it

I get you. I follow competitive smash (don’t kill me pls) and I know a decent amount about it despite being admittedly trash at the game myself

Most definitely

Socializing about games can actually be really fun when you get into a good discussion. I personally enjoy reading well thought out and elaborate posts.

This when the discussion is good Yea Forums can be top tier. Me personally reading about lore or watching videos about a games development and the mindset behind it is extremely enjoyable since it gives me just that little bit extra out of the game I enjoy and on successive playthroughs it can really add to the experience.

tfw too dumb to have any thoughts about stuff i enjoy
