Most people are rerolling the 300 Single roll, because 7% rate

The guaranteed 5* roll is for paid gems only, but just by clearing Chapter 1 you get 1000 Gems as a welcoming present, 200 from a launch period log-in event and 100 from a weekly login. That's 1300 right off the bat and if you get something good from them it's trivial to grind out the early levels/training activities/sync pair events to scrounge up enough for another few rolls. Get two 5*s from that and you're set for life.

No, Mega-Garde isn't bad. It's a solid special tank, great bulk, good potential for damage, good support movepool etc. You can do a lot with it. The Fairy typing was pure benefit for it too, it's absurd to say Fairy is "why it's bad". It gained a second STAB which coupled with Pixelate and Hyper Voice gives it pretty good nuke potential without any boosts, an immunity to Dragon etc. etc.

It's only issue is that Tapu Lele exists and effectively does everything you would want it to do but better.

As far as Smogon tiers go, it's UUBL. In other words it's not used enough for OU (again because Tapu Lele exists) but is simply too powerful and centralizing for UU. So it's very good, it's just outclassed by something that is very similar to it.

Reach the correct level (I think it's 30 for second stage and 45 for third)
Buy the correct evolution item from the Item Exchange (5 shard for second evolution stage and 3 stones for third)
Go to the character's story chapters and pick the evolution one. Be ready for a DPS race but don't worry too much about winning, if you lose, you get all your materials back.

You don't have to transfer at all, the game gives you a "delete save data" option for easy rerolls without having to reinstall the game.
The reroll strategy is to finish chapter 1, do 4 pulls and reset.

Even with a stamina system it wouldn't last particularly long. You just level too quickly and there's basically nothing to grind for other than silly coop gear, which honestly doesn't take long either as long as you don't get stuck with complete retards or AI.

It doesnt really matter. The main thing you should know is that the first few evolutions are cheap and easy, but after that the cost skyrockets.

you get one scout point for every 100 gems you spend rolling
the daily discount gives 1 point, a normal single gives 3, and a tenfold gives 30, so 400 points is 40k gems
