Rank them and justify your ranking
ps1 > n64 > saturn
ps1 has games
n64 has some games
saturn has no games
It is the N64 which no games
1. PS1- Had the widest variety of games, basically legitimized the modern JRPG to the West, and its graphics while dated stand up to the test of time.
2. N64- Has maybe 15 or so games still worth playing. Limited genre options. Ugly graphics.
3. Saturn- I flip flop sometimes, but I rank the Saturn the lowest because it is essentially the best 2D system ever. It was an era of 3D though, which it did poorly, and the good 2D shit rarely came out in the US.
I don't understand why people can't accept that the dreamcast and saturn were flops and it was no ones fault but sega
1) N64 - I played it
2) PS1 - It has some cool games I emulated
3) Saturn - Never played it
Not like this is an objective ranking or anything.
It's just meant to be your personal ranking, to see if you should consider trying new things.

Saturn > PSX = N64
1. playstation - absolutely stacked library full of kino, god-tier, medium-defining games. the true sequel to the snes that nintendo themselves were never able to deliver, so sony had to do it instead.
HUGE GAP
2. saturn - some good games like panzer dragoon saga, nights into dreams, burning rangers, and magic knight rayearth; as well as hidden gems like waku waku 7, astal, bulk slash and mr. bones. but the depth just isn't there like it is with the ps1.
HUGE GAP
3. n64 - massive flop and dumpster fire with no games. only remembered fondly by slack-jawed, bugeyed nu-males.
psx>n64>sat
i was a fortunate enough little shit that had the psx while my best friend had a n64. we played like crazy. we had a rental store close to home so i wasn't a stranger to saturn games too.
but yeah, psx library was just too fucking good, although i do agree zelda oot and goldeneye were mindblowing
1. N64- I like shooters, platformers, and racing games
2. Saturn- NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon kind of carry the system in my eyes
3. PS1- Library is pretty unimpressive if you hate JRPGs like I do
I think all 3 are super overrated and the Genesis and SNES are both better systems than all of them
I get the feeling you aren't super acquainted with the PS1 or the Saturn. The PS1 has a better, more varied library than the Genesis and SNES. I'm a big Sega guy but there was a lot going on for the PS1.
I'm a murican and my favorite is the Saturn, but I emulated everything.
>library
PS1 > Saturn > N64
>hardware
PS1 (6/10)
>a little bit faulty
>good 3D despite the warping and dithering
>good 2D with lots of effects, but not enough RAM for fighting ports
Saturn (6/10)
>decent 3D, less warping than the PS1, but terrible at 3D transparencies, overall blockier and sterile looks in comparison to the PS1
>great 2D, supports extra RAM for fighting games
N64 (7/10)
>easily the best 3D with custom microcode optimization (otherwise it was a blurry mess with bad framerates)
>probably good 2D, Wonder Project J2 looks great, but there's way too few 2D games to be sure of the system's capabilities
>cartridge was both a blessing and a curse
sega was always the meme brand with nothing worthwhile, it just took a third option to really show them that they werent just number 2 to nintendo, they were number 3 to a newcomer and nintendo
SS>N64>PS
SS has best 2D, N64 has best 3D, PS is just in between. A lot of its "big catalogue" is multiplats.
Nintendo was third place that gen
PSX > N64 > SAT
Anybody who pretends the Saturn is better than either is delusional or a hipster, possibly both.
nintendo was last that gen, but not in third. there were only 2 consoles worth owning that gen and the saturn sure as hell wasnt
Why not just play the PC version instead of a port too vaseline smeared to see anything and a port too dark to see anything
saturn was, and is the better system today too
that second one looks worse than doom 64 or GBA doom 2. even hexen on ps1 was better looking
PS1 was for your average single child
N64 was for kids who had friends come over to their house but had enough single player titles to keep them playing when they left
The Saturn was so irrelevant I didn't know a single person who owned one
>Why not just play the PC version instead of a port too vaseline smeared to see anything and a port too dark to see anything
Why play the Saturn at all? Imagine it trying to render a game like this at 640x480 like the N64. It'd fuckin explode.
Saturn > ps1
Based on my childhood i never touched a 64 in my life
Atari 2600 > everything else
PS1 > N64 > Saturn
PS1 easily has the best library and has some of my favorite games of all time (like SotN and THPS2)
N64 has a smaller library but said library has some of my favorite games of all time (like SM64 and F-Zero X)
I couldn't name a single exclusive on Saturn outside of Burning Rangers and that's just because I fucking love Burning Rangers' theme song. Absolutely nothing about the console stood out to me personally
Essentially and , I agree with them
meh, saturn did it at 704x480/60. 64 looks blazing fast there at 640x480/12 (actually 564x436?)
Consoles were shit until the 6th generation.
genesis controllers working on a 2600 is my favorite interaction
never played saturn, and i rank ps1 and n64 equally cos both had games you cant miss out on
>saturn did it at 704x480/60
Like I said, Saturnfags are absolutely delusional.
i love the ps3, but it did not win that gen at all. the 360 was destroying it until the very end, and im pretty sure the wii took both of them apart
Virtua Fighter 2
The PS3 was easily the loser of the 7th gen, especially considering the momentum they had from the generation before.
PS3 did really well. The Wii has a fantastic library of smaller games nobody knows about.
When I said "game like this" I meant something remotely impressive. Not two character models on a flat plane.
fify
I dunno, 64 didn't handle fighters very well at all. Turok running at 12fps is pretty sad compared to the saturn, a system which couldn't even do real 3D, running 3D at 60fps and at a higher resolution.
Yes, running two character models on a flat plane is impressive... for the Saturn and the Saturn alone. Have you seen what happens when the Saturn tries 3D action games? You get shit like Burning Rangers, now there's a performance to be ashamed of. I actually like that game though even if it feels unfinished as shit.
FPBP
>Yes, running two character models on a flat plane is impressive
very, PS1 couldn't even really do flat planes very well and the 64? Well it could do them at 30FPS very nicely I'm sure.
>I actually like that game
Yeah, you sound like its biggest fan
> PS1 having better graphics than N64
Kek
But user, I don't want that to be true. So it's not.
N64 > Saturn >>>> PS1
64 has the best graphics, best multiplayer, tons of GOATs
Saturn has a lot of quirky but fun games like NiGHTS, tons of fighters/shooters and even could connect to the internet
Both of those also rock a 6 button controller
PS1 has Crash and FF7 and that's about it
But user, I don't want that to be true. So it's not.
>PS1 couldn't even really do flat planes very well and the 64? Well it could do them at 30FPS very nicely I'm sure.
Tekken 1 - 3 run at 60fps on PSX and Fighter Destiny 2 runs at 60 on N64. There's way more 3D fighters on PSX that run at 60fps like Tobal No.1 but you get the idea.
>Yeah, you sound like its biggest fan
I don't think I'd consider myself a huge fan. I really like the way the game looks and the idea behind it, it's just really short, controls like ass and runs poorly.
>Tekken 1 - 3 run at 60fps on PSX
PS1 and so? They don't look as good and the first two run in 240p.
> Fighter Destiny 2
who?
>There's way more 3D fighters on PSX
1, and no shit it's got a huge library. Tobal's that game with no textures, right?
>I don't think I'd consider myself a huge fan
yeah, you're contradicting yourself constantly to own ???
This is right up until ps3 it definitely lost to wii in sales.
The point is it's no big deal to render two characters on a flat plane, even a no name developer like Genki could do it on the N64 at 60fps.
>yeah, you're contradicting yourself constantly to own ???
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.
Sales don't really matter, games do
>even a no name developer like Genki
Congrats
N64 because it had the best multiplayer games, which me and my 3 mates regularly games on
Mario Kart 64
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Pokémon Stadium
DK64
Mario Party 2
WWF No Mercy
F-Zero
Conkers Bad Fur Day
Banjo Tooie
JFK
The world is not enough
1080 snowboarding
Diddy Kong Racing
Gauntlet Legends 64
Heck even the single player games were decent as well
Banjo Kazooie
Mario 64
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Paper Mario
Starfox 64
>genki
>no name
Well then the PS3 REALLY got it's ass kicked if that's the case
good meme, but there's better ways to admitting you don't know anything about the console
Then I'd probably keep it mostly the same replacing snes with genesis and ps3 with wii
I had none of them so here's how it goes
N64 because i played it at my best friends house and had a blast till we both got PS2s > PS1 because I never had one and its games were on 2 > Saturn because literally no one had one or gave a fuck about it
Sony always wins
>N64 that high
>Switch that high
>PS2 that low
>DS that low
>GBA that low
>Vita on the same tier as the Virtual Boy and Jaguar
RENT FREE weeb
>Vita lumped with some of the biggest pieces of shit in console history
>Xbox and PS2 sharing the same tier as Xbox One
>Switch sharing A-tier with GameCube
>Game Boy ranked higher than GBA
You REALLY didn't try with this, huh
nintendo fans really have lost the plot
>PS1 has Crash and FF7 and that's about it
This is bait. You name a genre, I can tell you a classic Playstation game. The roster is deep.
I agree with this, but 7th gen is pretty debatable.
Definitely look into the Saturn. There's some gems in there.
>There's some gems in there.
If you got the cash to burn.
or a stack of cd-r's
ps1 > PC-FX > Saturn >>>>>> N64
The N64 had an appalling lack of JRPGs, especially compared to the SNES. Even Saturn achieved more 3d JRPGs than N64. Futhermore, while all N64 has to boast are platformers, Playstation 1's platformers such as the Spyro trilogy were better than any Mario game.
I remember that every game released to N64 twice were released to PS1. Companies had exclusivity to PlayStation at the time
ps1 > saturn> a turd > n64
1. Ps1 had the biggest and by far the better library.
2. Satun had the best arcade ports.
3. N64 was fucking trash with like 3 really good games and that's it. Easily one of Nintendo's worst consoles.
>nes that low
SS > PSX > N64
Hello we are the most soulful generation.
PS2>PS1>PS3>Nintendo>SNES>everything else!!!FACT!!!
PS1>>>N64>Saturn
I still have a few notable Saturn games to get to though, so I could see it passing the N64 (and a few PS1 games as well, but that console is already so far ahead).
