This probably isn't gonna turn out to be a masterpiece or anything, don't get your hopes up. The edgelord anime aesthetic is its main selling point and if you aren't into that then there's probably not gonna be a lot here for you to enjoy.

I think the Blood Code and Ichor/Gift systems are pretty fun. The devs are trying to fix the jankiness by improving animations and hitstun.

Apparently they listened to people's complaints after the network test and fixed some parts of the combat so that it would feel less floaty.
Sure it's not exactly revolutionary but at least it seems they kind of give a shit.

Code Vein is the only game I've been looking forward to since it's been announced. I enjoyed the Network test, and the patch notes give me hope that the demo and final product will be even better.

I doubt Bamco has resources to keep their presence in media at all times. It eats money like no tomorrow, and big shots like Sony, MS and so on can easily pour even more if they notice someone is not nullified by their marketing onslaught.

What the network test taught me is that if you approach combat like souls, you're doing it wrong. Those flashy combo abilities make fights go much easier, like using the teleporting slash through boss ranged attacks.

Fair enough then. Still, not a fan of how little the enemy reacts to it. God Eater series has the same problem, weapons have far less weight/impact than they feel they should.

The MC is actually relatively tall for once, and a skin shows he's pretty buff.
Notice that the enemy dies from the first hit, which it reacts to. But their are issues with weapon weight, which the devs have been fixing

Maybe that was a poor choice of words then, but I sure as hell got bored after the network test even though there's all those mechanics.
The level design was definitely the biggest problem, the demo area was dull.

I wasn't a fan of the network test. Most enemies felt like they were way too easy, even in that "high leveled" endgame area. Not to mention once you beat it once it became a joke. And if you felt like cheesing it you could run to the bosses and grind out queensteel before the endboss and 'cap' your weapon.
