No, orchestrated music doesn't fix those uninspired melodies at their core

I'll give you that the new tracks aside from the battle theme suck, though. Game's pretty great.

Seething

Nah the game is good but the music does suck. You can really tell when they reuse old DQ themes and it's so much better

DQ music has always sucked but the game is good

Why is Dragon Quest not popular in the West?

My favorite game of last year and I'm buying it again to play it in the retro style.

Stay mad cuck.

I'm surprised anyone would still be wearing the Gallopolis set that late.

Yeah it was GOTY for 2017 for me, and I'm looking forward to the switch version.

There are some really good pieces of music in the series, but they do seem to be pretty few and far between to be honest. But yeah, the games themselves are great.

I kind of love how she pretends to be a lot more simple than she is and doesn't ever play into the expected cliches.

Thank god Square dropped a lenghty demo.
I tried it out and it's long enough for me to know I don't want to play it

not surprised

I played on 3ds back when it released and eventually dropped somewhere slightly after the world reset shenanigan. I play jrpg all the fucking time but DQ in particular always manages to be monotone somehow. This game has some fierce defenders here though so don't expect people to actually agree with your statement.

If you upgrade it, it's doable until you go to the school.

Why does the guidebook on the right spoil Erdrick and Serenica? Do they assume most nips who'll get the Switch version are double-dippers?

I mean there's an armorless challenge mode, wearing armor for fashion can hinder you but it's not the worst thing ever

I think the fierce defenders are just because they really like it. For years I thought it seemed too simple for me, but I got into the series a few years ago and I quite enjoy it. I can see why some people would find it boring, but to me it's good fun.

The combat is great, one of the few jrpg series that are difficult and actually require you to use the tools at your disposal like buffs and Status effects. And the stories are fun since it's basically a bunch of subplots mix with the main plot in each town.

I already beat it twice on ps4 and know that it's nowhere near the best DQ but I still really like playing 11, especially on switch, undocked.

is the whole game as lewd as this?

I dont get how people can play it on the default difficulty and still have fun

if you want a good jrpg.... speek.link/s/mDcOzA4m1HGSbRaUdHyB

nice retarded greentext

>one of the few jrpg series that are difficult

I love DQ, but I wouldn't go that far. The early DQs can be hard at times, but they're more about grinding. Later DQs are pretty damn easy.

fucking dolphin porn

>not using it exclusively till you get the Draconian armor

No. Play Neptunia or something if you want to masturbate.

I had lots of trouble in XI with the draconian quest settings

>I think the fierce defenders are just because they really like it
Well yeah. That goes without saying doesn't it?

>great
>fun
Not how I felt at all but I don't mind that some people do feel that way. The only thing I really find issue with in your post is "difficult". Are you high? Unless we're no longer talking about 11 here.

I'm 30 and have a full time job, so I've stopped caring about proving myself by grinding or doing repetitive stuff, hoping the RNG doesn't eventually fuck me over. I'll still play something like STALKER, Thief, or DOOM on harder difficulties though, but they're different types of games.

>but they're more about grinding
Grind this
>Malroth used Fullheal.

So you play it for the story? I just cant comprehend that when its plot is so bland and its characters just not as interesting as previous DQ games. The thing that kept me invested was the gameplay and the graphics and the default gameplay is easy enough that you dont get properly rewarded for exploration nor properly encouraged to exploit the battle system

11 is a pretty difficult game

Im finding it comfy so far. The beginning was pretty generic though. Filled with typical RPG tropes like the chosen one starting out in small, humble village. But travelling through the fields and getting to that castle town has been really fun. It's visually really nice, and the building interiors feel oddly quite big and immersive.
Only thing that I found really jarring is that movement on the overworld and in general can be really stiff and limited. But I guess that's just the approach theyve gone with.

That's dragon quest baybee. Mediocrity is the name of the game

how is golden sun dolphin porn?

(You)

Dragon Quest music has always been good, and I thoroughly enjoyed this games soundtrack.

high quality post

I haven't played games for the story since I was 15. I just don't require every game to be difficult. I've always liked games from piss easy to hard.

So, did the events of DQXI actually happened or not? I'm leaning towards yes
