i would say this is one of the very rare series where each game gets better. i sometimes think v3 was the worst one, but i think back on it a lot more fondly and always listen to its music. dr1 on the first time has the best sense of mystery and sense of the unknown, but dr2 has a very memorable plot twist, setting, and characters.
