The heads of these companies are very old Japanese men that are behind the times. They afraid/unwilling to allow people to do things with IPs. Take Dragonball Fighterz. They had to fight tooth and nail behind the scenes to actually get approval for a tournament scene. And even then they were only allowed the room to run it a barebones manner. Most allows anime games that are allowed to get made are done so with constraints of a licensed Activision game.

I was very disappointed by this series and I dropped it some time ago. My asspain is still measurable.
I was really enjoying it as a passing of the torch story, the great hero finds his replacement and passes on his mission. The whole thing fell apart after All Might's climactic showdown (which I loved a lot) and his retirement. That was the time! The time to capitalize on the theme of the story and have Izuku start to take up the mantle properly. Maybe even a time skip or something, who knows? I honestly would have been satisfied if the series ended very soon after that with a grown up protagonist giving a smile and a wink.
All Might was half the reason I was reading, retiring him and then doing absolutely nothing but generic shonen arc nonsense was the worst possible thing. Move on! Develop! Do something, anything! Even develop your romance that goes nowhere that you packed in for no reason.
But Nope! Daddy Jump demands 200 more chapters, so it's time for

The series has already been going for 5 fucking years, they could afford to move the plot in some direction. You can't leave a mentor void like All Might and just move on to repeat arcs and generic nonsense, it's not interesting, it's not compelling, and it's not entertaining.

Because when they're just trying to cash in on an existing IP, you don't need to try as hard. Why make Devil May Cry when you can just plop the characters into Dynasty Warriors and it'll sell just as much? Plus, people who might actually buy DMC in a different series could be turned off when it involves tits flopping around or anime heterochromia twintails boy to stay accurate to the series.
There's also a game design concern, since there might be some good game mechanics or the need to implement certain mechanics which doesn't mesh with the establish setting. If you gave Deku a shotgun or a repeatable ranged stone throwing move because the game required him to have a ranged attack option, then this would cause problems of why he never used this in the anime/manga or why this video game Deku is fine with firing a pebble straight into everybody's head in every fight.

It's coming this season.
The token loli character has a quirk that rewinds people's bodies. Her blood and flesh carry the property too so the arc badguy is literally strip-mining her body for material to process into quirk-killing bullets, using his reconstruction quirk on her to revive her when she dies on the table after he mutilates her enough.
She can't control her quirk when she uses it, so Deku literally straps her to his back and has her activate her quirk while he goes 100% across his whole body and beats the shit out of the arc villain. He basically pulverizes his body so fast that her quirk is only reversing his injuries instead of killing him like it normally would.

It pisses me off when authors are completely bland and boring when it comes to their power interactions. Look at Bleach: Orihime has literal time reversal powers in a limited area. It gets used for nothing besides some basic healing. Complete trash. While it may seem like BS when character use their synergies with one another, that's just realistically what's going to happen, and some of those combos are going to end up being broken as shit, like mixing near infinite damage at the cost of self-inflicting the same damage on your own body and near infinite healing that can't be controlled unless it's directed towards massive injuries.

I love how animetubbers, and just anime fans in general, love to pretend anime is some form of high art, and they over analyzed the fuck out of this show cause it had pretty animation , making it seem like it was much better than it actually was, when in truth, it’s just Sky High, but Japanese, with the same tired formula we’ve seen a million times, and in Japan, anime and manga are both generally regarded as low brow entertainment. Sure, everyone watches is, but nobody thinks the storytelling in these shows is in any way masterful. Even “artsy” shows like Evangelion are seen as being “for kids.”
It’s a similar case with Kimetsu no Yaiba, everyone praised it to high hell, when in truth, it’s just more of the same shit.

If you anons want a good shonen series, check out Konjiki no Gash/Gash Bell.
It starts off sort of generic, without too much strategy in fightts and ver power of friendshipy, but it massively improves as it does along with increasing strategy in fights starting around volume 5 or so, increasingly better art, etc, and then it undergoes a complete format shit around volume 12 from villain of the week to being arc based; and uinlike a lot of other ahonen, it only ever gets better and never goes insane with plot plot/pacing issues/powerscaling too far.
.The manga also consistently nails a contrast between goofy comedy, cheesy power of friendship stuff, chill slice of life chapters, against gut wrenching emotional moments. The tonal whiplash that can happen with how rapidly it shifts between this could be awful, but instead the author makes it works and they enhance each other: the cheesy friendship moments and break slice of life chapters feel earned, while the motional moments hit that much harder, etc.
In general it also just revels and has fun with traditional shonen trumps., It's not trying to be subversive or innovative, the author just clearly loves having fun writing goofy and cool shonen shit and rolls with it and you can tell that he's enjoying himself and is genuine rather then writing to tick off checkboxes.
It's honestly one of my favorite manga of all time and I can't reccomend it enough, just with that caveat that you keep in mind the early villain oif the week stuff is just "alright" rather then great or good and that you don't watch the anime, since the adaption is complete trash.
Even if they made good games,most fans would bitch: Pokken was actually competitively designed and is a damn good fighting game, but pokemon fans fucking hate it because it's not shit they can just button mash wiht/doesn't have 60+ cloned characters
