in the death battle he literally goes back in time and cuts bens hand off. meanwhile in non retard land ben ten stans know that hes already solved the time travel problem called sotoboro effect so he knows where and when hal jordan will travel to and has the ability to stop him during the time it takes for him to go back to that point. alien X also can just straight up delete people. theres no resistance for this, theres no miracle cure or punching X in the face that will stop it. X can just delete him instantly if the aliens will it. ben also cant be beaten by hal because alien X can destroy light and matter so no matter how fast hal is and no matter how strong he is, the omnitrix would change ben into alien X and destroy the construct before hal could remove the omnitrix from ben. while X could be defeated or any alien for that matter, its nonsense that hal removed the omnitrix or would try to kill ben, the omnitrix has multiple failsafes to stop people from removing it and has an AI that decides how to prevent ben from dying by transforming him into the appropriate alien to preserve himself.
TL:DR the fight was stupid because hal shouldnt have been able to bypass deletion, go back in time before X could stop him, or remove the omnitrix.

Hal once made a bunch of probes that searched DC's universe in a span of a heartbeat
He also explicitly remembers the Crisis taking place and the central battery is still the same

We also don't see X do it on screen and only given an idea from Kevin that "he can just blink and you'll be gone", compared to the speed of light a blink in the eye is nothing.

There's no on screen indication that he found out (it was No Watch Ben who found out about it and used the knowledge to his advantage) and even then its unclear on how it works
Hal's fast enough to one shot Ben before the Omnitrix reacts to transform into anything
The Failsafe itself isn't always reliable
Ben's been in near death situations numerous times and even died due to the Chronosapien Time Bomb when Clockwork would've been the perfect alien to counter it (and he did when No Watch Ben did so)
