Enemy Territory was unironically the most fun I've had in a multiplayer fps.
I don't understand why they don't make games like this anymore. Everything else feels so slow by comparison.

For anyone wants to play wolf et nowdays use ET legacy 2.25 and use trackbase/splatladder for servers, I've already managed to get one guy revisit his favorite game on Yea Forums like a month ago

This was such a beautiful scripted moment. You walk out on the metal catwalk to a music change as you hear some large aircraft fly over. The sky is noticeably darker than it was just a few minutes ago. 7 or 8 paratroopers are coming down fast, and you're too much in awe at what's transpiring to even shoot. Are they enemies? Are they friendly? By the time you do start shooting, the music hits its apex just as 1 of the Black Guards lands beside you. You're not paying attention, so he chips you down to like 20 HP before you kill him. You also notice he was a lot more difficult to take down than the other enemies you'd just been fighting. Then the realization sets in that the 6 other beefed up paratroopers are charging into the base, up the stairs, gunning straight for your ass. They'll be here any second now. You take your brand new FG-42 paratrooper rifle from the dude you just killed and prepare for the toughest challenge of the game so far.
