I consider it to be one of the most well-made games period. Nothing feels out of place and all of the different mechanics and story beats fit in perfectly with each other.

Why do people call TWEWY edgy? Sure, some of the aesthetic and modern vibes can feel that way, but the game itself has some pretty heartfelt and lighthearted moments. Hell, the game’s entire message is centered around not being an edgelord.

Because they either judged the game by it’s cover or haven’t gotten past Week 1. I’d honestly argue that something like the DmC reboot is more edgy than TWEWY ever will be.

Neku in the first 4-5 days is basically the stereotypical JRPG edgelord that Cloud was accused of and Squall actually was.

I liked how the game actually made fun of him for that aspect in the post-game. Also, I never played FF8 but I have heard people compare Neku to Squall. How is his character arc compared to Neku’s?

Honestly, Neku’s attitude in the beginning portions of the game made sense. Imagine waking up in Shibuya with no idea of who you are and where you came from only to find yourself in a death game surrounded by soul-destroying graffiti monsters and shit. It doesn’t make his early behavior anymore likable but honestly, I’d be pissed too.

I’d honestly be more curious if anything to see how they would make it work.

If they could do it on PC using mouse for Neku and keyboard for partner, or some other method like that, it'd be glad. Right now, they can't get any port to match the gameplay of the original, which should be the first priority with a port.

Pretty early in the game still, starting to get better at fighting though I hate the wolf noise.

I wanted to bring this up since I've noticed this many years ago on one of my many playthroughs
I believe there is two instances in the game where Neku's cut scene sprite is completely unique, and only used once in the entire game
One being Neku's shrug in and the other in the very last room, with Neku looking defeated calling for Mr. Hanekoma

I have no reason to get mad about it but I doubt I'd be interested in playing them.

I like how they have this one sprite for Neku to use just once and then never use it again for the rest of the game.

I'm a GS fan, i'm used to sequelbaiting that won't go anywhere.

yeah, but you can replay the days with any partner once you beat them, of course. (I stick with beat anyway though, I like him better for the switch version.)
Waggle only if you're playin' on the TV, if you're in handheld mode, you can use the touch screen like the mobile port, though you can't do co-op with the touch screen controls.

also the controls aren't bad at all, just takes some getting used to. Use the FUCK out of the recenter button (Y or left on the left joycon if you're using that.), it helps a LOT. Also slash an enemy pins are a bit harder to use with motion controls in my experience.

Even when he was working with the Fallen Angel, it was more so the case that the latter simply provided information and brought him back into the game, leaving Sho to operate on his own. Bloodstained is absolutely fantastic if you liked the DSvanias.
Some people have reported bugs, but personally I've not encountered any in 50 hours of playtime.
Lobotomy Corp is kind of like a management gam ewhere the SCP foundation wants to extract energy from anomalous entities.
Learning curve is kinda steep, but it's fun.
