Glad you agree Yea Forums

It’s easily the worst of the 16-bit Vanias.

obviously not

cv4 is the best cv

That's not Castlevania, that's Bloodstained

But how can that be when the best Castlevania came out after it?

Attached: OoE.jpg (1500x1345, 475K)

Attached: 1319276960084.png (640x478, 431K)

WRONG.

This is the best Castlevania

Not Castlevania.

Oh, I get it. You're retarded.

Attached: 1566258189953.png (211x244, 72K)

Where's the Belmont protagonist? Where's the vampire killer?
Where's the gothic scenery?
Where's the non-castle areas?
Nowhere, therefore it's not Castlevania.

Where’s your taste?

N64 Castlevania was the last good game. If you look at it as a pure platform game you will see how insane it can get. Yeah the controls and mechanics are a bit hard to get used to at first but overall the satiafaction is so good.

With the Castlevania games.

If you consider Bloodlines CV I'm going to fucking lose it, you better be at least consistent in your autism.

It has gothic scenery and non--castle areas, you fucking dolt. Everything else is an arbitrary confinement to label anything you dislike as not being Castlevania when it clearly is.

X68000 was better.

Never said I dislike them, just said they weren't Castlevania. Because they're not Castlevania games, even if they are good.

>Where's the non-castle areas?
>OoE
Before the castle. It's about 60% of the game.

Bloodlines? Do you mean Bloodstained?

Castlevania Bloodlines on the Mega Drive you motherfucker.

Obviously that's Castlevania.

>obviously
>Where's the Belmont protagonist? Where's the vampire killer?
By your own fucking logic it isn't you shitstain.

>Where's the vampire killer?
I take this one back

Yeah but it ties in with the Bram Stoker novel so it gets a free pass. Plus he the protag does use the vampire killer.

To be fair, John Morris is a descendant of the Belmont clan and he uses the Vampire Killer. Dude is still retarded in his arbitrary bullshit, though.

fuck off james

3 and 1 are both better than 4

Rondo was better.

*flashier

Unironically the most overrated castlevania

and better

Played the shit out of this on the super memetendo classic cause I was a dos kiddy growing and it was fucking great. Jumped to SoTN right after this and it turned into a shitty maze exploration game with rpg mechanics that everything brain dead easy while taking 8 the directional attacks.

at being flashy

That doesn't look like Symphony of the Night to me, nigger.

Attached: eddyfaggot.gif (477x348, 627K)

You are all faggots. This is clearly the superior Castlevania.

Attached: 220px-Castlevania_2_cover.png (220x300, 109K)

*At everything except being easier.
ftfy

super IV is pretty fucking easy too

That was kind of the point.

*at being really flashy

That is not even the best castlevania.

Attached: 220px-Castlevania_Bloodlines[1].jpg (220x311, 31K)

>praising IV while complaining about something else being easy
Castlevania IV is easy as hell. That's the problem.

This back and forth isn't going anywhere. Yes, Rondo is flashy, it looks better, it plays better, it has a better difficulty curve, get over your okay entry already.

If anything, this should not be called a Castlevania.

The sequel was still worse, though.

Dumb parrotposter.

So Symphony of the Night isn't a Castlevania game either?

>good

Nope.

I accept your concession

I accept your concession

See, two can play at your game.

I accept your concession

Is it worth playing? I love castlevania.

If you like the early God of war games then yeah. Sequel is worse though.

That goes without saying.

>Belmonts
Not necessary since CV is more about Drac than anything
>Gothic scenery
There's more than ever in later titles with more direct inspiration to real historical architecture
>Non-castle areas
Still exist, even predominantly so in OoT and PoT

the only bad castlevania game is legends

Attached: CASTLEVANIA SERIES.png (199x888, 24K)

>Where's the non-castle areas?
is called Castle vania not noncastle vania

>Aria of Sorrow
>Where's the Belmont protagonist? Where's the vampire killer?
Julius, and the Vampire Killer is hidden in the castle, he gets it later in the game
>Where's the gothic scenery?
Pretty much throughout the game as much as shitty GBA hardware allows

soma is my favourite cv protagonist, he just looks cool and has cool powers

So where's the Castlevania gameplay?

>you jump
>you hit things until they die
>you try not to die while eating wall meat

what else do you wnat?

What's so bad about Legends?

Action platforming? Yeah still exists, just no instant death pits and more focused on exploration

Why are there rpg elements? That's not Castlevania.

Julius Mode.

is fucking slow and boring
is a fucking downgrade from bellmont revenge

>upgrading your whip
>getting damage multiplayers
>getting itens that let you use power whitout expending hearts

>not rpg elements
ok then

Literally the second game in the franchise went for RPG mechanics brainlet

Why is that a special mode and not the default gameplay option?

>What is Simon's Quest
So basically there's only one Castlevania.
Neat.

Fanfiction tier game and story, fem Belmont who hooks up with Alucard and creates Trevor

Yeah and that was a bad Castlevania game.

Iv is fucking shit, most overrated game in the series, sotn does everything better and doesn't even give you the whip

Doesn't have leveling up. Doesn't have special powers that let you skip most of the encounters. Doesn't have an rpg menu with boatloads of stat altering equipment.

>fem Belmont who hooks up with Alucard and creates Trevor
Really not that bad compared to Dracula reincarnating as a Japanese twink.
Or literally anything that happens in LoS.

>comparing a classicvania to an igavania
oh shit nigger what are you doing

Attached: 1560852009321.png (472x357, 214K)

fan games are better
>Doesn't have leveling up.
course it does, its a drop depending of your score
>Doesn't have special powers that let you skip most of the encounters
course it does. is called sypha and alucard
>Doesn't have an rpg menu with boatloads of stat altering equipment.
course it does, in castlevania 2

Attached: file.png (640x480, 434K)

Nippon stronk, onry monks strong enough to beat Dracura whito piggu

Its true
All of it

Iga is a hack and bloodstained was shit so of course IV is better

The whip is the most important thing about Castlevania and 4 has the best whip

soma is an implied spic in the localised versions
>inb4 we wuz Dracula hombre

damn right that whip is great, loved being able to whip in different directions

>Castlevania game

>iv is better than rondo
Stop triggering my autism

Not better than Bloodlines. 4 isn't even as good as the PS1 remake of Castlevania.

Sorry we have to go back to the boring whip because 2D characters have to be chained to the NES.

It had really good music too.

4 is the best, simple as

That and The Adventure.
