Blacksmith here, id say the guy claiming 500 pounds is about right. A medium size anvil is about 50-100 pounds and that thing looks massive, at least double the size, so 200 pounds is a low estimate considering everything it has going on as well as the handle. I can only assume its solid because theres no way it could have that spacing between the hammer head and its body if its center of mass was hollow, it’d be way too likely to cave in on itself with the geometry. My guess is closer to six hundred pounds, so youve essentially got smough on your back with a stick in his ass.

Its been made with steel in real life and although in the show it is a good inch thick, the real life production was 1/4 inch thick, and that blade was made with spring steel, not iron, and was something like 200-240, @ little less than the average Yea Forums user. If it was full size AND iron, which is heavier, it would come out something like 800-1000 pounds which would be uselsss even to some of the strongest dudes on the planet. Its still been created though, and despite being sized down so that an above average strength person could use it, it still exists.

I didn’t say the 200 pound sword was usable, just that it existed. And im a blacksmith, i know that 8 pounds was the average and when i first picked one up at 14 i could swing one with some effort, and holding it out arm extended with one arm was insane. As a man now and with some strength, i can imagine the 60 pound blade would require all your strength to lift because of weight distribution and using it in battle would be a joke. All real life versions of the dragonslayer exist as showpieces or as single swing “strongman” challenges for log chopping, and youd never be able to swing it horizontal unless you were from iceland.
