The lasers need to be closer to the hilt of the blade, as it is now if he catches a lightsaber in the crossguard it would slice right through the hilt of the saber. That said I still think it looks cool.

That would be like the single most dangerous beam weapon to wield. It's already pretty easy to slice yourself with a normal saber, manipulating a fluid beam like that would be incredibly risky.

Lightsaber blades should NEVER be curved. That completely betrays its aesthetic style and makes them just another boring weapon.

In this engine? Staff. I can't even quantify it, but I was a fucking murder machine using the staff. Every time I'd see a two-weapons faget I generally knew it was already over. Shame I'm generally shit at most MP games but it was a nice and brief experience to be actually good at a video game for once. The only other time was 360 wheeling hinds around cap points in battlefield vietnam which felt like it had a multiplayer lifespan of about six weeks.

Staff. Used it in KOTOR as well, since I played a Consular and mages should use staves. I wish more games let you fight with a staff of some kind.

The laser is only active outside of the metal IIRC, if Kylo locked someone's blade into the crossguard it would just slice right through the metal bit and into the main body of the saber, destroying it. As for the hands thing yeah that makes sense but they could just make sure his hand too close to the guard.

Dual saber for more customization. I loved having a hefty purple saber and a lithe orange one to represent my padawan growing vengeful after a while.

Kotor 1, dual too. The special jedi crystals were great. Kotor 2, staff. Couldn't use the special gem on two different sabers.

I always got the impression in the OT trilogy that Jedi's lightsabers were just a ceremonial item and due to the force, the Jedi were able to turn into effective weapons against blaster dudes.

But then the prequels showed that swordfights were at least common enough for jedi to be trained for it. It just made me keep thinking about how a normal saber had no hand protection

Why can't we get a star wars future skip where the villains are tech focused atheistic force hating villains who want to stamp out dark and light side users both due to being tired of all the religious wars bullshit?

I'm just disappointed that no new star wars game can beat the feel of lightsabers in JK3 and JA. Like it's a quake engine game but modern lightsabers don't hiss when rain drops fall on them or cut into the environment. Even the combat isn't that advanced, but every modern lightsaber feels like a baseball bat instead of a plasma sword.

But you could have the benefits and effects of six gems rather than three.
I will never break a game as badly as the 40+ DEX weapon finesse: Lightsaber, dual-wielding monster then fed force steroids which (in some circumstances) you could get up to 12 attacks per round. 12 attacks. 12 FUCKING ATTACKS.

And all it took was 20 minutes to learn that. Look at pic. In strong vs strong, you or your enemy will ultimately end up in yellow's stance. It takes time for the AI to recover from yellow's position. That's when you cycle through styles real quick until you're back on strong and give them a big ol' slice of death.
Fast style is for gunmen and those little force auxiliaries.

This is one of the reasons I was so pissed off by Skyrim's take on dual wielding with the "No blocking" bit when that's LITERALLY what people would use an offhand for most of the time.
