Solo leveling? Challenge log and killing monsters higher than your level. For challenge log I would use BLM and kill shit as fast as possible for monsters 2 levels below me. After that I would take WAR and kill monsters 1-2 levels above mine since that gives crazy good exp for just regular killing. You already get a 300% bonus exp so the only thing they could add is a way to get crystals/light faster or being able to solo kill NMs.

Oh and since DEF matters so much, once you reach Pyros I would reccomend taking the platebearer or other logogram that gives a huge bonus to DEF and HP. It makes it far easier to kill shit higher than your own level. I also heard about the refelct logogram and sprites, but I was too afraid to try that shit.

FXIV grindy? How exactly? There's literally nothing to do. The dungeons and their walling are a fucking slog. I honestly have never seen dungeon design as stale as in FFXIV: 2 packs, wall, aoe them down, pull another 2 packs, wall, aoe them down, boss, rinse and repeat ad infinitum. That's literally EVERY FFXIV dungeon. Oh yeah, they ALL have 3 bosses, all of them, every fucking one of them. There is zero deviation from the formula, it's all the same.

Sure, it's grindy if you start leveling other jobs or crafting, which is also pretty much pointless. None of the crafted gear is useful at this point.

If you stand at melee range there are only 4 different spots the geysers will appear. It's pretty simple when you just look at the spots they form since they always appear in the same place.

Hit a dummy with dot-less ruin3 which does 100p, then do it with crimson cyclone/flaming crush which also do 100p. They do nowhere near the same damage in reality, potencies on pet skills are all lies on the tooltips, akh morn included.

Class would need a full rework at that point, which we won't get till at least 6.0 unless they have done full reworks mid expansion before.

Honestly our class just feels like a weird hybrid of what it used to be and what it's becoming. In ARR we had shadowflare and everything else was diseases, fester, and ruin. Now we have all these cool mechanics like summoning bahamut and firebird and the trance but our core rotation is just diseases and ruin still.

They just need to drop our arcanist spells and commit our rotation to something like FFXI where we summoned multiple egi's or go the super traditional route of primal summons being attacks with the god's power and not an actual pet manifestation, with the exception of bahammy and bird of course
