No, videogames have never been a problem in my life. Only me, my shitty behavior, my shitty habits, my porn addiction, lack of motivation, isolation from the world etc
But videogames have never been an issue. I still had time for family, and my family was always cool about me playing lots of vidya. When I was younger actually my dad used to love watching me play games. He was a huge fan of spaghetti westerns and would actually sit for an hour straight watching me play red dead redemption, amazed at the realistic graphics and technology stuff. no, not really. i did have about 3-4 months of adjustment after having my first kid, then another round of adjustment later on, but i'm pretty sure I was using video games to avoid my shitty marriage and traumatic divorce. now i only game after the kids go to bed and i'm finished with homework.
it's a bit odd, since my life has improved, video games have lost a bit of their lustre, even though I still find them fun. I'm happier in my life now, but a part of me misses going into another world, despite it being driven by escapism.
