Seeing as how microtranactions and the nitro bar fillup are recent additions it's not out of the question. Activision would want this to drag on so more people buy in.

GPs are absolutely going to be rerun and you're delusional if you think they aren't. This argument would have held weight pre-MTX, not anymore. There's a reason the BetaM datamine gives info only up to December. Six GPs, rerun them, twelve months of support, a full year. Afterward game gets dropped for whatever is next year's Crash or Spyro title. Probably the next main Crash from VV.

Also on top of characters being withheld, Tawna Pink paint and the Fake Ptero Head stickers also being held back. It is not a coincidence.

I hope its intentional, with how buggy the GPs and updates have been i wouldn't be surprised if they just genuinely forgot to program them in.

Graphix hit is noticeable but minor. The most recent update uses the Switch's boost mode to overclock the CPU so loading is similar to PS4/Xbox now. All versions run at 30FPS, even if you use PS4 Pro/Xbone X

There's no reason to think they wouldn't keep GPs on a rotation to both give new players a way to get GP-specific unlocks and create a reason to keep people coming back and playing on a daily basis

user finishing races isn't hard and I abuse blue flame as much as anyone else but it's refreshing to get a track that isn't decided after the first lap, or in the case of the last cup, first corner. I want tracks that play differently, not panding to blue flame shitters all the time.

Of course maintaining it takes skill but it results in boring races. I've fucking lapped people before now, how is that fun? with a track that takes that away I'll have to actually work at it a bit more and that sounds far more engaging.

Sounds like a karting game to me user, and with those added drifting skills items will have far less impact on a race than someone blue flaming for 3 laps.

Implications are not the same as saying it user and even then it all depends on context. Maintaining blue flame takes skill, however it's not fun to have endless easy races or be one of those who can't do anything because 1st is half a lap ahead of everyone. This track will force people to use other skills and not be so reliant on the blue flame to carry them through a lap and that sounds pretty good to me.

Warp Orbs have never stopped being absolute garbage, the made them so rare you're lucky to see one once every 5 races and guess what, they're still absolute fucking garbage. Yeah sure Missiles are still shit until someone behind me fires one and it seeks me around corners. This game's online was legitimately better at launch, every single time they tried to fuck with items they just make the online experience worse. The online is objectively worse than it was before, now instead of too many Orbs and Clocks there's none and Beakers/Bombs gained seeking properties. This shit is fucking worse than Mario Kart.

I enjoyed the game with more orbs, the shit actually worked in slowing down 1st

I got Baby T. this grand prix by just playing regularly. I wasn't even grinding for challenges.

Play an hour a day of online matched to get wumpa coins from your daily bonus. Play one time trial for daily tropy challenge, play one cup race (look up what the daily cup is), and try to do the stuntman challenge

do that daily and you should have all the unlocks at a reasonable pace

Has anyone put together a tier list of coin rewards for the tracks? Not counting glitches I'm kind of wondering which ones give more as Crash Cove on the Weekend with Dailies gives you 200 if you come in first, while Electron gives you fucking 800 which is a huge leap.

Maybe if the GP track was good. This Spyro track looks really simple, plus it's really straight so it will be a total Speed fest. They need to make a track with lots of tight turns constantly, you can of course still do well on those with Speed too but at least the other classes are more viable. Like Tiny Arena, Speed doesn't have nearly as much of an advantage

I like Ripper Roo too. I genuinely tried to learn handling as to not make 1/4 of the roster untouchable but even on maps like slide colosseum I can really feel the lack of speed. It's especially noticeable when you race your own ghosts.

Well I'm a top 2000 and up across every single map and I think you're full of it, turning and balance can still win races and more than beat N.Oxide times which is enough to dominate online races.

Speed has an even bigger advantage on Tiny Arena due to it's overall length. Just take a look at the wr's, best speed is something like 2:54 but you have to go down a couple hundred points to like 3:09 before you start seeing Balanced/Turning.

In online races the spread is more even, time trials are a different thing of course, since you're trying to achieve a totally optimal run

You always have to hop to start a powerboost. Hopping uphill can tend to start a powerboost earlier than usual which is why it can look like I'm not hopping, which is why understanding track geometry can come in handy.

I need to double check, I think it's fallen to about 500 now, but it's a legitimate time of about 3:10.50 or so.

The absolute best legitimate times on Electron Avenue are low 2:52-2:54's, anything lower involves lap skipping.

the game having classes and characters tied to them is a good system, the fact that the characters aren't perfectly balanced is something that needs to be fixed. But right now, just because two of the classes in the game are slightly better than the other two, doesn't mean they're fucking unplayable. It just means they need a few more buffs to be up to par.

I would much rather have a system where all characters are tied to their unique class, AND all 4 classes are equally good. Rather than a system where everyone just have the option to use the best/easiest to use class.
