Heheh yeah I remember that webcomic too.

Fucking hackfraud cunt.

Then the vidya industry crashes like it did in the 80s,causing the death of AAA devs and a golden age of good Indy and AA games like we had in the 90s.

>LE 90S WERE SO PERFECT AND IDEALISTIC FOR GAYMEN
fuck off. half the games you bought didn't work, 99% of reviews were fucking paid for by the publisher, and the 12 games that did work were usually not even worth the damn trouble.

>90s games were shit
what the fuck planet are you from?
>Magazines always came with a CD full of free games and demos
>Demos were usually 1/2 of the game
>Games were difficult
>Games weren't political
>Games tried new things, ideas and concepts
>Games weren't just rehashes, remasters or copies of other people's games
>Normies didn't play games
>Stock market and Investors didn't have a say in games
>DLC and Microtransactions weren't a thing
>Expansion packs doubled the content of the game
>Games weren't instantly datamined to find all of the secrets on Day 1 of release
The only real problem with the 90s was the lack of internet (or internet just being really slow and shitty) meant you were stuck fapping to the lingerie section of the Target catalog in the mail.

20s game reviewers might as well not exist.
At least in a professional sense. They're just bloggers who sometimes talk about games. It's not really worth tuning in to.

>>so here's the thing... i fucking hate trump
I hate the fact that I know where this comes from

You got me.

>"This game and game developer are Cancelled"

Based retard

>Magazines always came with a CD full of free games and demos.
You now remember the flashy menu screens and music those demo CDs had, lost to time.

Based They Live poster

>"This is probably a game"

>Magazines always came with a CD full of free games and demos
>they had monthly tutorials about random shit like programming, midi/mod music composing, game map/mod making
>tutorial exercises/examples and necessary tools included in the CD
>plus other related goodies, like user submissions, and full or partial FTP folders from random servers
god damn, I don't like to use meme shit like this, but that was the definition of SOUL
every once in a while I rummage through the isos from the CDs I collected over the years, there's so much fucking content I always manage to find something new and interesting

>golden age of good Indy
Wut

yeah dude.
I remember first finding out about hentai games (pretentious newfags call them "visual novels" now) from a magazine.
in a reader emails question section someone asked about "japanese girlfriend games" and the editor recommended like 3 or 4 good titles and some websites to import them from, and even posted a few SFW pictures to "tide you over".
I went straight on Kazaa that weekend and downloaded Three Sister's Story and Season of the Sakura at 2kb/sec. Took 9 hours or something retarded to download them both.

Yeah, back when it was a fat guy in his mom's garage making a game for a hobby and releasing it to his friends on a BBS (like a private Yea Forums you had to manually dial into and only a couple of people could be logged in at a time), before cancerous shit like kickstarter scams and patreon.

Right, and how economical crash affects hobbies which are held within group of friends?

>This game is unresponsive on my perfect Stadia connection

At least they weren't infested by politics and SJW trannies

>"This game is based"

From where ?

youtu.be/kQ_yeolq124

This game makes you TRULY FEEL like Main Character

>game magazine knew most of the country had shitty ISDN net
>filled the disk with popular meme videos/flash games like bomb iraq/spank the monkey/the picard song/ultimate fight of ultimate destiny
>middle of the magazine was either a game poster or cheats for as many games as they could fit on a poster format size
>news was actually news since there was no social media yet
I miss it

Fucking hell if this isn't true

>I cheated to beat this game because it was too hard but thats ok

Nice buzzwords, did you learn all of those today?

None of those are as annoying as
>I'm a HUGE fan of this series because I played the most popular game
>This gives me the right to badmouth the entire series and critique everything as if I'm an expert!

> obsessed

I still don't know if that line was ironic or not.

Why can't they stop talking about him all the fucking time ?
