This game is genuinely worse than I remember. >mostly interactive cinematics/uninspired run-and-gun >characters you never met in the first game talk to you like you're their best friend/messiah >no lore/access to more lore; dialogue pertaining to lore is quite vague >each vehicle is used for one section only before being abandoned, alongside the squad system near the end of the game >most of the puzzles are just unimpressive
This was the follow-up to one of the most famous FPS games of all time? It's safe to say that I won't be replaying the others.
>characters you never met in the first game talk to you like you're their best friend/messiah I like stuff like this
Chase Hernandez
If this game came out in 2019 Yea Forums would hate it
Nathaniel Nguyen
Except you did meet most of the characters in the first game
Liam Torres
don't be mistaken the first one sucks too
Isaiah Butler
the first one is kino tho
Zachary Cox
Yeah, but you were never really told who they were except for Barney, who got his own game.
Jordan Turner
no half life game is above average to be honest
Carson Wilson
Wow you should play Wolfenstein 3-D and let us know what you think about the graphics.
Nicholas Walker
>game from 2004 that experiment with shit that’s been perfected by now is dated Imagine my shock
Brandon Sanders
I said it was famous but I know there's plenty of problems with it too.
Noah Perry
What?
Owen Young
You know what, just because you said it I will.
Henry Price
except it wasn't valve even admitted they took physics ideas from Trespasser
Jayden Nelson
You have to understand that this game was mindblowing at the time and showed a direction for future games. If Half-Life 2 didn't release back then, first person shooters would look different now.
Jordan Hughes
>If Half-Life 2 didn't release back then, first person shooters would look different now. And that's a good thing.
Gavin Campbell
I think the problem is how often you fight Combine soldiers, I think thats one of the reasons the episodes are so much better.
Nicholas Lewis
2019/v/ hates anything that isn't nintendo so yeah. that doesn't say anything about the actual quality of the game though.
