About 4 hours in and still pretty bored. When does it get good?
Hollow Knight
do you have the mantis claw yet?
It doesn't
It doesn’t.
If you aren't having fun just stop playing.
Honestly, it doesn't. The game was a big let down for me.
No. Got the vengeful spirit and am now grinding for coins. Spent a stupid amount on a key which opened a door which is worthless to me for now.
You don't need to grind for money in this game, ever. If you're playing a normal game with normal progression in a way where you just sit there and grind mindlessly, you're literally playing it wrong and taking fun out of it. Also, how the fuck do you only have the Vengeful Spirit at 4 hours?
Pretty much never. I thought the Godmaster stuff would be a redeeming factore, but the arenas are a chore.
>grinding
You're playing wrong.
I was stuck for a while because my dumbass didn't see an entrance that was too dimly lit (this game is too dark). There's an acid pit stage that I can't progress very far in because there's a ledge I can't jump and reach. There's also a pitch black room that I also can't progress through because I need to purchase a light (hence the grinding for money).
There's a baldur guy in a room that's near where you can find grubdad, kill him and get into greenpath
from that point forward you should be good
There's a ledge I can't jump and reach, halting my progression.
that's the way to a different region, which you need the dash to get to
the dash is in greenpath
When you do
Hollow knight thread
So do we have the release date of silksong?
Again with this? Every day or so I see the exact same goddamn thread with the exact same goddamn shitty arguments against the fucking game.
If it isn't your cup of tea then just stop playing it, no one is forcing you to play the game for you to say "when does it get good?".
Christ.
It doesn't and sometimes decides to delete your save file
Enjoy
It never deletes your save file, the fuck are you even talking about?
If I stopped playing every game just because it felt slow in the first few hours then I would've never had the chance to enjoy fallout 3, the Witcher, and pretty much every JRPG I've ever played. There's this thing called patience.
It deleted my save file between Linux and windows versions
It doesn't magically get any better than it does at the 4 hour mark mate.
When the way you came from gets blocked off, it starts raining, and you see an old friend sitting on a bench.
I'm stuck on that boss that rolls at you and divides into 2. Probably never beating the game since this boss is fucking me over and over. Besides the difficulty i really love this game
Mantis claw. If you don't like it by them you can stop.
>vengeful spirit and am now grinding for coins
dude...
You're not supposed to go to the nest now.
Don't buy the lantern now.
I loved the game a lot, but I was pretty close to dropping it during the first five hours or so. It's only once you get lucky and find the right gear/powers to get around that the world really starts to open up and feel fun to explore.
>(this game is too dark)
calibrate your TV/game contrast.
Absolute Radiance is a motherfucker.
It doesn’t
>not even 50%
>thinks his opinion matter
Cringe
>4 hours in and still bored
based
>He fell for the dick sucking shill brigade and their lies
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA
Tends to happen when you've only done content that takes about 20min in those 4 hours then started grinding like it's some MMO instead of continuing to explore.
>grinding
user, if you ever feel like you're stuck, check all the areas on your map that don't have a clear end point. There's never any point where you should have to grind in order to reach the next stage. Yes you can get the lantern early, but by the time you'll ideally need it the price won't be that exorbitant.
learn to pogo jump
get the dash
get the claw
that's all the base skills you need to beat the game and every other movement upgrade kinda works around those
after that it only gets better if you can care about the plot and the best bosses are endgame content so up to you to continue
It only gets marginally better, honestly the exploring is the worst part and boss battles are the good part.
