I think it'd do well if it was something you did for fancier moves in the form of a QTE. Like endgame master tier jutsu, vacuum daitoppa for example. Fill up a chakra meter and then use it and you can pass the qte and get a damage bonus or fail and it does base.

Naruto for the 360 did something like this.

Would've been good for the Wii. I thought the action commands for extra damage and the minigame where you form the Rasengan with waggling had potential for a real game.

Played a Naruto RPG on gba emulator after being obsessed with the show in middle School. It want translated though so I would just learn what the moves did by Trish and error and progressed by trying everything. I think it followed some parts of the story so it was easier to know what we happening and we're e to go than otherwise.

legitimately sounds fun and has a use for those VR glove things. Putting your hand to your mouth to activate katon, hand down positon to activate chidori and shit, charging rasengan is just holding your hand out

Actually I have the answer. 95% of jutsus were useless filler for fights that were always blocked or dodged. All you really need is a finishing move like rasengan.

Had this and its sequel lol. Not great, but I liked Naruto and thought the graphics were cool for a DS game

Ultimate 4 is the best one of all time.
It has the most characters. I don't know if you remember but I was always pissed they'd end it two points in the story, one being at the Gaara arc.

ninja games should be fast, but the storm games make them slow as fuck with QTEs and pausing the game for shitty pretentious quotes when doing ultimates

When characters stopped having multiple ultimates (one for normal, one for awakened) I got absolutely pissed. Don't remember if that happened in the second Storm or the third.
