Really? Like, for real? I am not so much surprised about the fact that they do this but about doing it in a way that makes the site unusable which will just cause them to never make any money to support themselves. Fucking mongs. I'm blocking these scripts now anyway

Hob is like this. I understand they tried to make an open world without loading screens even when you enter the caves or the underground, but my card went nuclear several times

Is this the designated 416 bread?

Good one

laziness mostly

learned the hard way years ago that you should always test on a slower machine than the one you're developing on, so you can actually notice performance issues
otherwise, you're not going to give the slightest shit and your terrible object management code will cause your simple 2D platformer to slow down on a multi-GHz computer because the amount of checks done between objects balloons as the object count increases

Bloodstained has the object management problem. Also beating the final boss caused the fans to whir a tornado

Most indie devs are good at design or art but can't program for shit, so you end up with simple 2d games like broforce using shitty engines like unity and dropping frames whenever anything remotely intensive happens.
