A video presentation detailing update 5.0 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be released on September 10th.

>Banjo's Stage is Spiral Mountain >It starts off as a long, flat plane with the central spire in the background >Eventually the stage moves closer to the spire and rises up it slowly >Once at the top, the camera spins around to show the landscape in full >After enough time has passed, a bridge to Gruntilda's Lair appears >To end the cycle, Gruntilda appears and destroys the bridge and the camera turns 90 degrees, causing all fighters to fall back to where they started as the loop resets >Various other characters from Banjo Kazooie/Tooie will make cameos like the Phantom Thieves
>Banjo's Spirit Board is entirely made of characters from Banjo Kazooie >A separate spirit board will be released alongside Banjo, but not as a part of the Fighters Pass >It costs $2.99 and consists of other Microsoft spirits (mostly Rare) >While on the topic of Spirits, there will be a brief mention of the Tockles Spirit >It's unlocked automatically if the game is started in version 5.0 and any save data for DQ11/DQ11's Demo is found in the system's memory
>A set of 5 Mii outfits will be released >Banjo's Backpack (Brawler) it's worn over the default Mii Brawler outfit, with a LittleBigPlanet style Kazooie doll sitting inside it >Mumbo Jumbo (Brawler) not much else to say about this one >Gruntilda Costume (Swordfighter) it looks more like a generic witch costume than Gruntilda specifically, uses a broom as a sword >Halo Costume (Swordfighter) Master Chief's armor equipped with an energy sword >Creeper hat (all) looks super awkward over the Mii's round head
>Two new game modes will be added to the Games & More section >The modes are Home Run Contest and Boss Battles >Home Run Contest is just as you remember it, now with the option to turn off the barrier entirely >Boss Battles is split into two smaller-modes, Quick Battle and Boss Rush >Quick Battle keeps track of each character's time against any single boss of the player's choosing >Boss Rush is exactly what it sounds like, putting the player against all bosses they've already fought in a random order >Three new bosses will be added >Porky and Rayquaza appear in revamped versions of their battles from Brawl >Gruntilda is a completely new boss that is fought on the bridge area of Spiral Mountain

I think what they meant was that down-special changed the properties of neutral-special. IE: in the trailer we saw Burger King shoot eggs normally and shoot the grenade egg, both being neutral special.
