I've spent 23 hours to get to level 17. I've gone back and forth inefficiently over and over again. I've bashe d my head against enemies that were too difficult. I'm really sick of it all.

I knew queues would be bad but I didn't think they'd be this bad. Combined with my own connection dropping, sometimes long enough for the grace period to reset so I'm booted to the back of the queue. I'm so far behind I'm starting to lose motivation.

Fug, what do. The only stand out thing for me that I see in classic from FFXIV is the world pvp and the re release being historic.

I tried FFXIV last month, made it to Heavensward where the story finally got the least bit interesting and my sub ran out so I didn't bother renewing with Classic so close. I'll probably go back to it in a few months when we hit another new games drought, it's basically a singleplayer game anyway unless you want to do the super duper hard mode trials or whatever so no rush to finish it.

True, I was an idiot and just renewed my sub a few days before classic came out and I spent 40$ on Shadowbringers, kinda regret it because I just finished Heavensward which was a blast. It is indeed a singleplayer game save for the dungeons.

The lower pop servers don’t usually have a queue. If you’re interested in classic, I recommend just jumping in.

If you try the f2p to level 20 on retail, it’ll give you an idea of what it’s like with a few QoL upgrades you might not want to give up.

Retail is nothing at all like classic, even from 1-20

You kill mobs super fast, never have any downtime, quests hold your hand and guide you on a tour through each zone, you get showered in gear from every other quest, etc. etc.

it disappears because you've been spoiled by retail for so long. you start missing all the qol, heirlooms, mounts, whatever other gay shit.
you look at the long road ahead in classic and then you punk out

Just like classic. Mob repawn rates, failsafe mechanics etc. This isn't anything like the original wow. Visuals and music is the same gameplay isn't.
